GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS

McCormick Place Chicago
Site of the International Kennel Club Of Chicago

This coming dog show week is a good news/bad news story.  The bad news is there are only five venues hosting shows this week.  The good news is that most of those locations will have both quantity and quality for those fanciers lucky enough to be able to attend.

The Windy City will attract nearly 7000 dogs to the four days of shows hosted by the Park Shore Kennel Club, the Blackhawk Kennel Club, & the International Kennel Club Of Chicago.  This is one of the best shows for spectators all year.  If you are any where near the Chicago area, put this one on your weekend agenda.  Drawing nearly the same numbers daily and offering way better weather is the Silver Bay Kennel Club Of San Diego which will set up for two days in nearby Del Mar CA.  As the only shows this weekend west of the Mississippi, expect the Best of the West to be there.

New Yorkers can head up to Suffern NY for a long weekend with the Wallkill Kennel Club & the Rockland County Kennel Club who are sure to draw the best dogs from Maine to Washington DC.  Expect weekend numbers to be around 1500 daily.  If you are lucky enough to live on the Gulf Coast, take your pick of four days in Hattiesburg MS with the Greater Hattiesburg Kennel Club & the Meri-Miss Kennel Club, or two days in Tallahassee FL with the Ochlockonee River Kennel Club Of Florida.  Counts will be smaller, but the quality will be there and seafood is amazing.

If you are near one of these shows sites be sure to take in the fun.  If you just can’t get out this weekend, check in with us where we will be bringing you results and all the back stories.
