NEW DOG2WATCH IN MARYLAND

GCH CH Acadia Stage Presence

While we were at the Hatboro Dog Club’s Friday show two weeks ago we saw the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Acadia Stage Presence, take the breed over the nation’s Number One Sheltie, her BIS winning father, GCH CH Grandgables Frat Boy, and then go on to win the Herding Group.  Yesterday Liza picked up her first all breed Best In Show at the Laurel Highlands Kennel Association show in Cumberland MD.

GCH CH Chesterhope Miss D’Arcy

Joining Liza and breeder/owner/handler Catherine (Cadie) Pruss in judge Tom Ward’s final were the RBIS, the Pointer, GCH CH Chesterhope Miss D’Arcy, the Treeing Walker Coonhound, GCH CH Alexanders Gold Rush Xcetera, the St Bernard, GCH CH Jamelle’s Aristocrat v Elba CGC RN, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Rivedell’s Tinker Toy, the Pug, CH Warpug Black and Blue Reme, and the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Shine’s Deck the Hall.

The win came on Liza’s tenth trip to the final ring.  That’s the kind of perseverance that will make you a Dog2Watch.  Our congratulations and thanks to Cadie and all the other dedicated breeders/owners/handlers struggling out there to keep a breeding program going while holding down a full time job.
