DAY TWO IN NEW JERSEY



GCH CH Steadmore’s Take a Gander

Dr Robert Indeglia was in Augusta NJ for today’s Newton Kennel Club final.  He chose his top two from the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Steadmore’s Take a Gander, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Sharjets Starr Catcher CD RN CGC, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Class Act by Hallsblu, the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Smash Jp Sakura, the Schipperke, GCH CH De LaMer Point Break, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Nchanted Silk Lining.

Finishing one/two were the Golden and the Corgi.   We believe this to be the first for the three year old Golden dog.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Jacqueline J Morasco, co-breeder Julie Kielts, and owner Nancy M Sherick.  Now if anyone has a photo of the RBIS, we would love to share it with our readers.

It’s day two in Raleigh NC and the Durham Kennel Club’s turn to host.  Judge Malcom Moore chose his Best and Reserve from the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Fieldstone Carousel Hell's Kitchen, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner’s International S’cess, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragmoor Good Time Charlie, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Kan Sing Tenzin, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wolf Creek Galaxy of Merivern.

Picking up her 101st career BIS was the MinPin, Classie.  Packing up the RBIS was the country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Portie, Matisse.  This year Classie is the Number Three Dog All Breeds with 48 BIS and 80 Toy Groups.

The country’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, continues her winning ways, taking the top prize at Friday’s Bayou Kennel Club show, the opener for the four day Cotton Land Cluster in Monroe LA.

Joining Sky and handler Gabriel Rangel were joined in judge Clay Coady’s final by the Reserve winner, the Pointer, GCH CH Chesterhope State Of T Art, the Saluki, GCH CH Appalachia’s Allamyrra Hajji, the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream Of Style, the Maltese, GCH CH Scylla's Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do You Know The Way To San Jose, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv’s Olivia Oplescent de Louisianne.

Sky’s 46th BIS puts her more than 10,000 points ahead of the rest of the Top Ten.  Can she hold on to that lead going into the final stretch?  We will be here to tell you day by day where the race stands.

DAY ONE IN AMANA IA



GCH CH Fist Face A Penny For Your Thought

In the America’s heartland fanciers are assembled in Amana IA where the Tri-City Kennel Club and the Cedar Rapids Kennel Association are hosting four shows this weekend.  The TCKC was up first on Friday and they put judge Elaine Lessig in the final ring.

Her seven options were the Flat-Coated Retriever, CH Heirborn Moor Bang For The Buck, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Tajamani Kwetu’s Rust Too, the Rottweiler, CH Hemlock’s Jack Of Hearts RA CGC, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Aljamar Eliminate The Negative, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Fist Face A Penny For Your Thought, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Topsy Turvey.

Her Best was the Griff, Penny, and her Reserve was the Puli, Charlotte.  Penny is the daughter of the top winning Brussels Griffon of all time, CH Cilleine Masquerade.  Congratulations to breeders Rodney & Linda Vance, owner Diane Burvee, and handler Paul D Catterson.

Carolyn Herbel was in Marquette MI for the hometown kennel club’s opener.  Her seven finalists were the Golden Retriever, CH Forever’s Frat Party, the Ibizan Hound, CH Nahala’s Midnight Train to Georgia, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Newcastle’s Blame It On The Sun, the Airedale, Stone Ridge Northern Dancer, the Pug, Eaglesdare Ewok From Endor, the Lhasa Apso, CH Hope-Full Hugs Kist By Northwind, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Stonepillar’s Steel Blu.

The top awards went to the three year old Lhasa dog , and the Bouvier, Blue.  It’s the Lhasa’s first BIS.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Jeanne G Hope & Cindy Butsic.
