When we last visited Topeka KS it was to tell you that the country’s Number Two Dog All Breeds, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, had won Thursday’s Topeka Kennel Club show.   The Portie, Matisse, would leave Topeka to try his luck elsewhere.

Staying in Topeka for Friday’s Manhattan Kansas Kennel Club show and judge Dr Michael Woods’ final were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Enrenvogel Key To My Heart, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles of Jatara, the Boxer, CH Ensigns Justified, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Ciarris Beltane Embers, the Pomeranian, GCH CH CR Chase What Matters, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Tang Dynasty Rocky.

The flashy black Poodle, Flame, seized the BIS, leaving the RBIS to the Saluki, Bubbles.  Flame is the US’s Number Two Standard Poodle and the Number Three Non-Sporting Dog with eight BIS and 51 Non-Sporting Groups.

The rest of the set would belong to the aforementioned Pom, Chase.  Chase would be Helen Lee James BIS at Saturday’s TKC show over her RBIS, the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome, the Saluki, Bubbles, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Cambria’s Vraiment Parfait, the Bedlington Terrier, CH First Class Willow Wind The Phoenix, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Coco Vialatte Robobull Hot Flash, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Elmknolls Dream Girl.

Judge Lesley Hiltz would see the now familiar Brittany, Saluki, Kerry, & Standard Poodle, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Raklyns Talbot of Alisation, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Live the Dream, before naming Chase Best and the Bubbles, the Saluki, Reserve.  It’s the fourth BIS in 24 final appearances this year, and his third BIS in the last two weeks.
