PONTIAC KC RESULTS

Asking for a look were the Golden Retriever, Gracious Glds Gem Hunter, the Scottish Deerhound, Lehigh-Darkwynd Enella, the Newfoundland, CH Halcyon-Cofino Queen Isabella, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Italian Greyhound, Pineridge Ladyday Carbon Copy, the Bulldog, Dash’s New Life Noahs Bark, and the Briard, CH Déjà Vu Up Close & Personal.

Her BIS was the country’s top winning Whippet. This gives her five all breed Bests.

WELCOME BACK, BOO

After several weeks absence from the show ring, the Pug, CH Tupelo ShoBoat Tu China Tu, has returned, auspiciously winning Best In Show at today’s Kenosha Kennel Club show in Wilmot WI.

RESULTS FROM NEW JERSEY

The fun continued today in North Branch NJ with the Somerset Hills Kennel Club.

Kenneth Buxton’s finalists were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, yesterday’s BIS winner, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Airedale Terrier, CH Stirling Cool Hand Luke, the Affepinscher, CH Velvet Dandy Dipsy, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Beaded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

Best In Show went to the nation’s number one Bearded Collie, Roy. This win pulls him into the country’s top twenty dogs all breeds.

IT'S SADIE IN RALEIGH


The Alamance Kennel Club hosted today’s offering in Raleigh NC which has an entry to rival the one up in New Jersey this week.

Elliott Weiss’ superlative seven were the Labrador Retriever, CH Robnie’s Chantilly At Lighthouse, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Adili’s American Idol, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, the Pekingese, CH Lin-Lee’s For The Good Times, a not yet one year old Standard Poodle from the classes, Gigi Da Maya, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams. That’s three top ten dogs and six BIS winners.

Best In Show went to the unstoppable Scottie, Sadie. We can’t wait to meet this one at Montgomery.

CJ MARCHES ON

The Tuxedo Park Kennel Club had so may of dogdom’s stars competing today, they should have had a red carpet and Ryan Seacrest on hand. The competition was so brutal that one top twenty dog was left behind in the breed and another could not manage even a Group Four.

Among those who did make it to Edd Bivin’s final were the Irish Setter, CH Shadagee Caught Red Handed, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speaker of Eagle, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Airedale Terrier, CH Stirling Cool Hand Luke, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Char-Ma’s Chosen One.

His BIS was not an upset, but the very consistent number two dog all breeds, the Doberman, CJ. She continues to string together an amazing collection of Best In Show wins.

EUGENE RESULTS

RALEIGH BEGINS SHOW WEEK

Today the Cary Kennel Club held the first of five shows, hosted by five different clubs (our elected officials should work together so well) in Raleigh NC this week.

Today’s BIS duty went to Judith Goodin who chose from the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter's Mt View Lookout, the Whippet, CH Sorting Field’s Bahama Sands, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Phillmar Sobe Monster, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, the Pekingese, CH Lin-Lee’s For The Good Times, the Miniature Poodle, CH Splash Di Caprio, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

Her Best In Show choice was the country’s number three dog all breeds, the Puli, Conrad. Our top three dogs have started to distance themselves from the rest of the field with Conrad more than 5,000 points of the number four dog.

Also in Glenda Dawkins ring were the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty's Treasure Island, the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, the Pekingese, CH Franshaw Hear Me Roar, and the Standard Poodle, CH Donnchada Sweet Dreams.

Her Best In Show was the Standard Poodle, Patsy, picking up her third all breed BIS this year. Patsy is currently the number one Standard Poodle based on breed points and is one of seven Standard Poodles to win all breed BIS this year. Which breed has the most BIS winners this year?

BIS went to the nation’s number one OES, who is in a very tight race in the herding group top five. We have this as his eighth best this year.

From an exhibitor on site, we hear that the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle, repeated his BIS win, taking today’s Schooley's Mountain Kennel Club show in Morristown NJ.

One of the most intense cluster of shows was in Lexington where the weather was miserable and the dogs were glorious. They had a five day stand that began Wednesday and we gave you all five BIS winners and 29 of the 35 finalists. The six finalists that we missed from Saturday’s final were the English Setter, CH Palisades Silhouette, the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Hickory Wind, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Scottish Terrier, CH Blueberry's Surely You Jest, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH Ayrwen Star Kisses Delight, and the Chow Chow, CH D-Jin Gang Of Anna Kennel.

Our last detail is from the Monrow LA cluster where we hear that the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek's Sangria V Barick made it three of three, winning yesterday's Vicksburg Kennel Club Of Mississippi's day one show. We'll be right back with some of today's results.


ILLINOIS RESULTS

Much of our day has been spent on the telephone checking on the status of a relative in our local emergency room. It was nothing serious, thank goodness, but it did take us away from our blogging at an inopportune time. But we are dedicated to informing our readers and will get you all the latest results. So without further excuses, here are the results from this weekend’s Danville Illinois Kennel Club’s two shows.

Saturday, Francine Schwartz greeted the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Dinges Irish Creme At Wynnsong, the Wirehaired Dachshund, CH Rosethorn Unique Answer, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Urban Pride Sharply Dressed, the Border Terrier, CH Tyrolian Eight Belles At Meadowlake, the Pomeranian, CH Char's Bringin' Sexy Back, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Smooth Collie, CH Chrysalis Ginger Snaps.

Her choice for Best In Show was the Doberman. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Penny Urban.

CH Rosethorn Unique Answer

Only the Dachshund and the Pomeranian were back for Sunday’s final with Richard Lashbrook. Also making the final cut were the Irish Setter, CH Windwood Inferno, the Saint Bernard, Kryskara Ace's Are Wild, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Pirouette's Rebbull Exemplar, the Chinese Shar-Pei, CH O-Na-Pei I Go Back, and the Belgian Tervuren, CH Majic's Image Maker.

BIS went to the Shar-Pei, bred by E Hurst & Ann Cookson and owned by Dorothy Schuerman & Karen Kleinhans. Bravo to them all.

OKLAHOMA RESULTS

From an exhibitor we have the results of this weekend’s two shows hosted by the West Central Oklahoma Kennel Club in Elk City OK.

On Saturday, Angela J Porpora’s finalists were the Golden Retriever, CH Glengowan's Great Balls of Fire, a Basset Hound from the 12-18 month class, Bugle Bay's TX Roadhouse, the Siberian Husky, CH Antara's Dust in the Wind, the Norwich Terrier, CH Skyscot's Poker Chip, the Shih Tzu, CH Symarun's Look N Good, the Bulldog, CH Newcomb's Konner J., and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Northstar All Jazzed Up. BIS went to Pokey, the country’s number one Norwich Terrier. That’s all breed BIS lucky number seven.

On Sunday, Only the Golden and Shih Tzu would make it back to see Roberta L. Campbell, who also saw the Harrier, CH Pacific's Serendafing Anthemm te Siberian Husky, CH Unforgettable Liberty Torch, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Ridgmar's Diamond in the Ruff, the Bichon Frise, CH Risgae Miabella Sweet Georgia and the Puli, Lambak Ty-rrific.

BIS went to the Golden, Jerry Lee, his second. Congratulations to breeder/owner Richard Caldwell, co-owners Patti Caldwell & Rebecca Gear, and Handler Christopher Keith.

CHEYENNE WY RESULTS

The Cheyenne Kennel Club hosted two shows in their hometown this weekend. The first featured James Fredricksen as BIS judge.

His finalists were the Gordon Setter, CH Schofield Headliner Hopi, the Petit Basset Griffon vendeen, CH Afterglow Ebeneezer, the Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Nashem’s He’s The Man Of Woodmoor, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Lum Creek Di’s Amazing Grace, the Pekingese, CH Dunkirk’s I‘m Gonna Live Forever, the Standard Poodle, CH Penndragon Masaniello, and Old the English Sheepdog, Ch Bugaboo’s Georgie Girl. His BIS was the big white Poodle, Micah. That’s number for this year for Micah.


Sunday, Stephen Hubbell took over and welcomed back Micah, the Peke, and the OES. His remaining finalists were the English Setter, CH Oakley’s B’Dazzled, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, Legacy Hills Fibonacci, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Odysea Card Shark, and the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Kallehan’s Hot N Spicy Of Jorkaite.

BIS went to the English Setter, Dazzle, her first. Dazzle was bred by Jim Jannard & Paula Dempsey and is owned by Erik & Jennifer Strickland. Congratulations to them all.

AMANA IOWA RESULTS

We told you that at Saturday's day two show, Gloria Gettinger’s BIS was the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, CH Yuum Gomez. Also making the final were the Gordon Setter, CH Firethorn & Sandpiper Easy On The Eyes, the above mention Afghan, the Boxer, CH Lattalane’s Kiss Me I’m Irish, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Casey’s Blue Mountain Promise, Friday’s Standard Poodle, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv’s Daydream Believer.

CH Firethorn & Sandpiper Easy On The Eyes

Sunday, the Cedar Rapids Kennel Association and Jean Fournier took over. Her seven petitioners included, Friday’s BIS winner, the Alakan Malamute, CH Sno Klassic Play The Game, Saturday’s BIS winner, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, CH Yuum Gomez, previous finalists the Gordon Setter & OES, and the Whippet, CH Kamada’s Million Dreams, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Versailles Of Celtic Oddesey, and the French Bulldog, CH Devine’s La Confidential. It was the Malamute, Player, picking up his second Best of the week.

TONAWANDA VALLEY RESULTS


The Tonawanda Valley Kennel Club had two shows this weekend in the up state town of Albion NY.

Her BIS was the Siberian, Carter, his first. Congratulation’s to breeder/owner Jean C Edwards, co-owner Vikki Jaramillo, and handler Tim Terella.

CH Meadowlake Overnight Celebrity

Sunday, on day two, Carter was back in the final seven as were the Border Terrier and Australian Shepherd. Filling out Peggy Hasss final were the Golden Retriever, CH Tempo’s U’ve Got What Gets Me, the Norwegian Elkhound, CH Somerri Dunharrow’s Devil Ray, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, CH Mondrian VH Lamslag,RE, and the Bulldog, Trent’s Adoreabull.

Best In Show was the Border Terrier, the first for the two year old. Congratulations to owners/ handlers Ray & Ginger Scott (Ginger was on the other end of the lead Sunday), breeder/co-owner Karen Fitzpatrick, and co-owner Tom Bradley.

There was a four day fete in Cumberland ME this week. We have been bringing you results over the weekend. Here’s what we left out.

CH Beauciel Orion Dartagnan

On Friday, the Chesapeake Bay Retriever, CH Chesbar`s True Grit, the Standard Poodle, CH Beauciel Orion Dartagnan, and the Border Collie, Jayden Band Music were among the finalists at the day two show of the Cumberland Maine Kennel Club. Saturday’s Mid-Coast Kennel Club’s final included the same Standard Poodle and the Australian Cattle Dog, CH Equinox Ad Astra.

CH Fleet St Fenway Fan

Sunday, the final at the day two show of the Mid-Coast Kennel Club included all the previous days’ BIS winners, Thursday’s winner, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, Friday’s winner, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, and Saturday’s winner, the English Setter, CH Reidwood Red Alert. Also on hand were previous finalists, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Of Afrikka Spring Valley Dorian Gray JC, and the Irish Terrier, CH Fleet St Fenway Fan. Making their first final seven appearance of the weekend were the French Bulldog, CH Shore Lookin` Good, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, Telltale Girl Gone Wild.

BIS went to the Toy Poodle, Walker. Walker is now securely in the number one Toy Dog spot more than 5,000 points ahead of the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug.

SANTA BARBARA RESULTS

It’s Monday morning catch up time. Since some locations have not checked in, we will be bouncing around a bit. We don’t know why certain show superintendents refuse to move into the 21st century and provide timely show results, but that’s a column for another day.

CH Aviator’s Luck Be A Lady

We had a three day weekend in Santa Barbara CA. On Friday it was the Simi Valley Kennel Club hosting with Robert Hutton in the final ring. You already know that the the Scottish Terrier, CH Mercedes Of Maryscot won this opener. Giving Sadie a run for her money were the English Setter, CH Artizoe High Caliber, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Soletrader Donald Duck, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviator’s Luck Be A Lady, the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, the Bichon Frise, CH Mybliss Petite Coquette, and the Border Collie, CH Majestic Avatar Storm Warning.

CH Cerise Signature Of Telltale CD RG CGC CTD

Saturday, it was day one of the Santa Barbara Kennel club with Elaine Young judging BIS. She saw Sadie and the Affempinscher, Taser, and the Same Border Collie. /rounding out the final seven were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Signature Of Telltale CD RG CGC CTD, the Pharoah Hound, CH DC Hallam Churuka’s :Limited Edition SC, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Surfdogs Haole Boy GQ, and the Standard Poodle, CH Anastasia Da Maya.

The multi-titled Springer, Dustin, now has a BIS pre-fix to put in front of his name. Bred by Rosemary Fugit & Dorothy Cherry who co-own him with Silsby & Charles Pelissero, Dustin is handled by Ellen Cottingham.

CH Ghost Hollow’s Spectacular Bid

Sunday on day two of the Santa Barbara club, Sadie & Dustin were back as were Friday’s PWD & Border Collie and Saturday’s Standard Poodle. Making their first appearance of the weekend were the Bloodhound, CH Ghost Hollow’s Spectacular Bid, & the Long Coat Chihuahua, CH Jocal’s Dancing With The Stars. Sadie picked up her second BIS of the weekend and her 78th career Best.

Sunday’s BIS judge was Houston Clark and his finalists were the Weimaraner, CH Smokycity Silhouette Dbl Ur Pleasure , the Afghan Hound, CH Cavu Wild N Naughty Nites, the Mastiff, CH Wildrose's Music Man CGC TDI, yesterday’s BIS winner, the Standard Manchester Terrier, CH Medley’s War Hunt, the Silky Terrier, CH Safire CH Rock It To The Stars, the Bichon Frise, CH Paray’s Rime Time, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Caamora All Dolled Up PT.

BIS went to the Silky, bred and owned by Julie Pizzirulli, Sue Calestini & Steve Calestini, co-owned by Alisa Syar, and handled by Mike Stone. She is the only Silky to win an all breed BIS this year. Congratulations to them all.

DAY FIVE FINAL IN KENTUCKY

His BIS contenders were the Vizsla, CH Renaissance Girls Gone Wild, the Greyhound, CH Gaia Elfin Dance, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight, the Chow Chow, CH D-Jin Gang of Anna, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

BIS went to the US’ number two Terrier and number eight dog all breeds, the Smooth Fox, Dodger. Our top ten are starting to bunch up behind the three leaders. We will have the new standings on Wednesday.

FIRST TIMER IN LIVONIA MI

CH Z’Bee Che Bellina Dante

We have an early report that the BIS winner at the day two show of the Livonia Kennel Club in Belleville MI was another first timer, the Saluki, CH Z’Bee Che Bellina Dante. Dante was bred by Deric Aube, Trina Aube & Val Bauer and is owned by Deric, Linda M Bade & Paul Keckonen. Congratulations to them all.

GOLD COUNTRY BIS

We have the results from yesterday’s Gold Country Kennel Club show in Grass Valley CA. Although, there are competing shows in St Helens OR and Santa Barbara CA, this show drew a very creditable entry of mostly local dogs.

Dr Klaus Anselm had a a final that included the Labrador Retriiever, CH Hyspire Shahli Hotter Than Blazes, the Basset Hound, CH Blossomhill’s Mamma Mia, the Rottweiler, CH Marlo’s Bello Vittorio, the Standard Manchester Terrier, CH Medley's War Hunt, the Silky Terrier, CH Safire Rock It To The Stars, the Bulldog, CH Globe And Anchor Iron Mike, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Avalons Frontier Sleepnlady Webber.

BIS went to first timer, the Manchester Terrier, Gunner. Gunner has been the top Standard Manchester for the last three years. Congratulations to breeders Tamara Myer & Roger Gutierrez., owners Ed & Jeanette Tonini, and handler Jenell Tonini-Zanotto.

SUSSEX HILLS RESULTS

We have some results from today’s Sussex Hill Kennel Club show in Morristown NJ, where BIS judge Elaine Lessig chose her Best In Show from some of the country’s best dogs.

The final seven were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Jesse James, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Tugar's Most Wanted, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Velvety Angel Eyes, the Affenpinscher, CH Velvet Dandy’s Dipsy, the Chow Chow, CH Liontamer’s Dial 1-800 Hotstuff, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Deja Blue Deal Me in.

BIS went to the Wolfhound, Tip. That’s four m the last two weeks. That’s what we call momentum.

ANOTHER NEW BIS WINNER


We awake this morning to a couple of BIS reports. The fist is from Iowa where we hear the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, CH Yuum Gomez at the day two show of the Tri-City Kennel Club in Amana. Congratulations to breeder/owner Jesus Gomez and co-owners Patty Gomez & Linda George.

CH Delux Think Tank at Runamok

The second is from Lexington KY where a first timer beat the heat and rain to go BIS at the Lexington Kennel Club Show. The Bouvier des Flandres, CH Delux Think Tank at Runamok, walked off with his first Best In Show ever. Tank was bred by Christa Townsend who co-owns him with Kerlin Butchee & Sharron Lux. At the end of the lead was handler Linda Clark. Congratulations to them all.
