We love it when we see the off spring of previous seasons’ top dogs doing well in the show ring for it demonstrates the thesis of dog shows, i.e., a showcase for breeding programs. Our congratulations to breeder/owner Amelia Musser, owners Mary O'Neal & Anstamm Kennel, and handler Gabriel Rangel.

BUCKS COUNTY KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Takara the Time Is Now

The Bucks County Kennel Club Best In Show is one of the older and more prestigious titles on the dog show calendar. Unlike some of its contemporaries, the club has eschewed cooperation with other clubs forcing exhibitors to divide their weekend between two different venues. They have also forgone the convenience of an electronic catalog, shutting out tens of thousands of fanciers outside their small little corner of the universe.

Their single day show took place Saturday in Erwinna PA, some 40 miles from West Windsor Township NJ, site of multiple specialties on Friday and Sunday’s & Monday’s Trenton Kennel Club shows. Among the almost 2000 entries were judge Sam Houston McDonald’s finalists, the English Setter, GCH CH Stargaze'R 'N Wingfield Wait Wait Don’t Tell, the Saluki, GCH CH Takara the Time Is Now, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Topaz Bad Action, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH Crispy Legacy, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Yarrow’s Hi-Tech Ben There Done That, the French Bulldog, CH Dolce’s Made in Taiwan of Perfect Idea, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Brimar’s Rough and Ready.
