FIRST TIMERS DOMINATE

CH  Keswicke Mezzo Forte

One of the things we love about the 2013 AKC dog show season is that half way through the year we are seeing many first timers and other unranked dogs getting the Best In Show trophy.  And so it was at the Southern Indiana Kennel Club’s two shows in Corydon IN this weekend.

On Saturday it was the English Springer Spaniel, CH  Keswicke Mezzo Forte, picking up his first BIS from Helen Gleason.  Judge Gleason also liked the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Is The Way to Amarillo, more than she did the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Highlanders Celtic Carol, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Blackhawk Finnegan’s Wake, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Cameo’s Educated Exemplar, the Miniature Pinscher, Shadow Mist Dust Commander, and the Briard, GCH CH Lightning Strike El Xargall.  Congratulations to breeder/owner Laurin Howard, co-breeder Lori Johnson, owner Paige Tilford, and handler Chloe Tilford.

GCH CH Cameo’s Educated Exemplar

Sunday saw the aforementioned Norwich collect his first all breed Best from judge James Fredericksen.  Accepting the Reserve award was the above named Shar-Pei, while the Vizsla, GCH CH  Solaris Tuzes Paprika JH CGC, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Rag Doll, the Great Pyrenees, CH Berben’s Hope of Thornhill, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Char’s Hotter Than Hot, and the Belgian Sheepdog, CH Blak Jak’s Up For That.  Our Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler Catherine Johnson.
