We have not visited Amana IA since Friday when the Tri-Cities Kennel Club opened the four day stop.  Go here to read about that show.  On Saturday the TCKC asked Judy Webb to choose her Top Two of the English Setter, GCH CH Stargaz'R 'N Wingfield Time Will Tell, the Afghan Hound, CH Mahali Rustic Front Page News, the Boxer, GCH CH R and G’s Mystical Dancer, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding v Sole Baye, the Maltese, GCH CH Scyllas Small Kraft Re-Lit, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Celtic Folklore Crossfire Trail, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails of Mystery.

Those two were the Reserve, the Boxer, Danny, and the Best In Show, the English Setter, Trevor.   Trevor has been having a very good summer adding six BIS to his 2012 resume since Memorial Day to bring his total to 12 this year.

The Cedar Rapids Kennel Association had the final two days of the four day set.  At Sunday’s final Trevor would join fellow Saturday finalists, the Schnauzer, Justin, and the Maltese, Hank, in Dr Steve Keating’s final as would the Bloodhound, GCH CH GCH CH Quite Creek’s Windfall, the Boxer, GCH CH Daybreak’s Bad Influence, the Standard Poodle, Del Zarzoso Salvame From Afterglow, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Turnkeys Little Big Man.

Loraine Boutwell had the final final and her pick of the Setter, Trevor, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Boxer, Danny, the Schnauzer, Justin, the Maltese, Hank, the Dalmatian, CH Dakotas Paradise Alley, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Mysharas Dancing Queen.

The two getting the last two rosettes were the RBIS, the Maltese, Hank, and the BIS, Schnauzer, Justin.  Justin is another one of the Boys of Summer.  Since the end of June he has collected three of his seven BIS this year, and 23 of his 33 Terrier Groups.  We can’t wait for Montgomery County!

  1. Thank you for your coverage of Miniature Schnauzer "Justin" -- we are thrilled with his record this year! In fact, he has won all seven of his Bests in Show since the first on Easter this year!!! We are truly proud and inspired by this little guy and his handler, Bergit Kabel. Thanks again.
