SOONER STATE KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Chaoyang Chick Magnet At Asia

Proceeding up to Enid OK, we stop in on the Sooner State Kennel Club who gave us two shows this weekend.

On Saturday Tomas Gomez chose his Best In Show from the Flat-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Beacon's Jesse James II, the Pharaoh Hound, GCH CH Northgate’s As You Like It, the Kuvasz, GCH CH Szumeria's Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Scottish Terrier, CH Mcscot's Karascots Rufftons Six Shooter, the Toy Fox Terrier, cH Walton's Crusin Cool, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Chaoyang Chick Magnet At Asia and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey's Tails Of Mystery.

Day one went to the Shar-Pei, Magnum.  We have three Shar-Pei’s this year who are slugging it out for the breed’s top spot.  Magnum's two all breed Bests makes that race even more interesting.

Sunday Alane Gomez gave her opinion on the seven survivors, including Saturday finalists, the Flat Coat, the Pharaoh hound, & the Kuvasz, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH High Mtn Warfox Thundersnow, the Silky Terrier, GCH CH Wind Dancer Jenstar Backstage Pass, the Boston Terrier, CH Gumbo-Kean's Cosmic Stargazer, and the Beauceron, GCH CH Flame Noire Du Chateau Rocher.

She liked the top winning Pharaoh Hound in AKC history, Qing.  Qing and handler Brian Livingston have sped their way to 30 BIS & 97 Hound groups this year.   We have two Hounds in our Top ten Dogs All Breeds this year.  We’ll let you know who’s Number One when the final numbers come in.

  1. Correction: Sunday the Toy in the Best in Show line up was not the Cavalier - it was the Silky Terrier - GCH Wind Dancer Jenstar Backstage Pass call name "Andy".

Beautiful line up at Sooner State, congratulations to the Pharaoh Hound, Quing.
