SUNDAY & MONDAY IN NEW JERSEY

GCH CH Vermilion’s Sea Breeze 

The Twin Brooks Kennel Club’s weekend consisted of two shows in Morristown NJ on Monday and Tuesday. Monday ended with judge Margaret Reed in the final ring with the Irish setter, GCH CH Vermilion’s Sea Breeze, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Hobarra’s I Dreamed a Dream, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Silhouette’s Dirty Harry, the Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Blythewood Commodor Baron, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, GCH CH Sonnus Filho (Sanchez), the Schipperke, GCH CH De LaMer Overboard, and the Briard, GCH CH Deja Vu Popsakadoo It Is What It Is.

Best went to the Setter, Big Red, and Reserve to the Chihuahua, Sonnito. It was the third BIS in eight final appearances this year for Big Red. All three of the BIS have come in the last 60 days. Could be a Red hot summer in New England.

Red and Sonnito would be back in the final ring on Monday to plead their cases with judge Lawrence Terricone. Joining them were the English Foxhound, CH Monocacy Bends Wayward Fox CGC, the Boxer, GCH CH Encore’s Mimosa, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Invercrest Gotcha Girl, the French Bulldog, GCH CH Iacta Alea Est De La Bete, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn.

Judge Terricone BIS was the Frenchie, Rubi, and his RBIS was the Beardie, Turner.  The win follows Rubi's BIS win on Saturday in Marshall MI at the Battle Creek Kennel Club show.  The two wins are the first BIS this year for Rubi. Congratulations to breeders/owners Blake Hamman & Peter Photos, owner Patricia Hearst-Shaw, and handler Jodi Longmire.
