MONDAY MORNING MOP UP



GCH CH Ha'Penny Mirimar The Fab Fawn

We start our Monday Morning Mop Up in Macungie PA where the Pocono Mountain Kennel Club, the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club, & the Berks County Kennel Club teamed up for four shows this week.  The Bearded Collie, GCH CH Ha'Penny Mirimar The Fab Fawn, would hold sway on Thursday & Friday, taking the both of the PMKC’s BIS.

Joining Fawn in judge Arlene Benko’s final on Thursday were the  Weimaraner, GCH CH Doc's Greyborn North Star Of Acadia, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble, the Akita, GCH CH CR-Wicca’s Trade Secret, the Russell Terrier, GCH CH Rivendell's Tinker Toy, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolei Rocket Power, and the RBIS, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Ale Kai Hillwood Moonbeam Magic.

Friday judge Ruth Zimmerman would say ditto, naming Fawn and the Poodle  Best and Reserve while the  aforementioned Weimaraner, the Bloodhound, GCH CH Flessner’s International S’Cess, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Cypress Bay’s Big Sur, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Joval Sweet Time, and the previously seen Shih Tzu looked on.

Fawn is the nation’s Number One Bearded Collie and Number Seven Herding Dog with seven BIS this year.

Fawn and the Shih Tzu, Rocket, would return to the final ring at Saturday’s LVKC to plead their case with judge James Reynolds.  Joining them were the Gordon Setter, CH Skara Brae’s I Was Worth The Wait, the Scottish Deerhound, the Scottish Deerhound, GCH CH Foxcliffe Chelsea Piers, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Far Isle The Wizard Of Bullrinkle, the Norwich Terrier, GCH CH Highwood's Whirling Dun, and the Keeshond, GCH CH Ikon’s Cha-Ching.

Fawn would add an RBIS to his tack box while the Deerhound, Chelsea, walked off with the BIS.  It’s the first BIS for Chelsea.  Congratulations to breeders/owners Cecilia & R Scott Dove DVM, co-breeder Sally Sweatt, and handler Angela Lloyd.

GCH CH Weymouth’s En Fuego

The BCKC closed it on Sunday with judge Mary Jane Carberry in the final ring with the English Setter, GCH CH Weymouth’s En Fuego, the previously seen Beagle, Akita, Airedale, & Shih Tzu, the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Corgard’s Rise Of The Second Stun.

Taking home the set’s last big rosette was the Airedale, Splenda.  The reserve ribbon went to the Setter, Blaze.  It was the second BIS of the year for Splenda and handler Adam Bernardin.  Both wins have come in the last three weeks.
