DAY TWO IN PLEASANTON

GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli

The Diablo Valley in northern California was the place to be today if you wanted to collect a bunch of points to help your ranking.  The seven dogs trying to persuade BIS judge June Penta to part with the big rosette at the day two show of the Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County in Pleasanton CA were the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Boxer, GCH CH Maxl’s Stay Gold, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Alpine’s Ring of Fire, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Victory Spencer, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH PaRay’s Power & Privilege, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar.

Collecting all those points was the BIS winner, the Afghan Hound, Mowgli, while the Corgi, Allie, picked up the Reserve bragging rights.  Mowgli, who maintains a somewhat relaxed show schedule, has made a habit winning the big ones this year.  Today’s win, his 12th BIS of the year, will come in around 1500 points
