RECORD BREAKING CHIHUAHUA

GCH CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight

The Jesse James Kennel Club & the Greater Emporia Kennel Club teamed up for three all breed shows in Topeka KS this past week.  Thursday’s Mo-Kan Toy Dog Club limited breed show brought in the little guys and it was the Smooth Chihuahua, GCH CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight, who took home Friday’s BIS at the JJKC’s first show.

Joining DeeDee and breeder/owner/handler Gloria Johnson in Charlotte Patterson’s final were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Fieldfines Pure Gold CGC TDI, the Saluki, GCH CH Sandstorm Blue Nile Bubbles, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Chancellor High Flyin Gladiator, the Lakeland Terrier, GCH CH Hi Kel Terrydale Fortune Forward, the RBIS, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Borderfame Signature.

It was DeeDee’s first weekend back after taking six months off for maternity leave.  The win, her career 17th, breaks a BIS record that has stood for more than 25 years.  We have to applaud the Johnsons for having the discipline to take time off to have a litter when so close to the record.  There’s a couple of breeders with their priorities straight.

Mondays can be dull,  but not yesterday in Topeka.  Our Number Two Dog All Breeds, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, would join the fun, claiming the Sporting Group One from Jane Rappolo, while the Springer, Peyton, would get nearly as many points with the Group Two.   Oakley would advance to Dr Eric Liebes final along with the previously seen Saluki, Boxer, Chihuahua, Standard Poodle, & Smooth Collie.  Also on hand was the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Wedigit Paparazzi, who was in Greeley on Sunday collecting  a BIS.

Judge Liebes would give the nod to the Boxer, Macey, and a wink to the Smooth Collie, Arrow.  It was Macey’s 11th BIS of the year  Now that all the weekend’s shows are completed we are adjourning to our spreadsheets and updating our standings.  Check back with us tomorrow and we will tell you who this week’s Top Ten are and how they fared this past week.

  1. FINALLY!!!! Peyton's picture is where it should have been over a week ago. One would think that this blogspot is being compensated under the table with it's biased reporting.
