MEMPHIS KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Kensington’s Artful Dodger

Here in out backyard this weekend, the Memphis Kennel Club gave us two shows just down the street from Graceland in Southaven MS.

On Saturday, Carl Yochum chose his BIS from the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, the Whippet, GCH CH Starline’s Chanel, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Katoba’s Emerald City RN, the Smooth Fox Terrier, Wedigit Loki, the Pomeranian, GCH CH Char’s Secret Obsession, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Barnstorm’s Grissom TTCSI, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Kensington’s Artful Dodger.

His Best was the Border Collie, Dodger.  Dodger is just beginning his specials career and already had a BISS under his belt before collecting this BIS, his first.  Congratulations to breeders Lisa Waldo, Frank Baylis, & Caroline Woods. Owners Lisa and Mary Ann Waldo, and handler Lenny Brown.

On Sunday Bonnie Threllfal saw five of Saturday’s finalists and the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH Tontine’s Chance Redemption, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Briarbrook’s Chief Justice, before choosing the Springer, Peyton as her Best.  Last weekend Peyton & handler Robin Novack pulled off the hat trick, winning three Bests in a row. The wins bring Peyton’s 2011 BIS total to twelve and makes him the Number Eleven Dog All Breeds, just a breath out of the prestigious Top Ten.  This boy is on a mission!
