One of the most hotly contested sites this week was Harrisburg PA.  The three show stop started on Friday with the day one show of the Penn Ridge Kennel Club.   Robert Stein’s super seven were the Vizsla, GCH CH Artisan Grouse Point Pink Panther, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Bahama Sands, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Navio’s Flower of the Sea, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Cracknor’s Cross the Ts, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Lambluv Gambolon Blue Thunder.

Day one went to the country’s Number Five Dog All Breeds, the Affenpinscher, Joey.   Joey and handler Ernesto Lara have been bringing their “A” game lately with eleven of their 19 BIS this year coming in the last six weeks.

On Saturday at the PRKC’s day two show, Joey and fellow Friday finalists, the Norfolk & Miniature Poodle, were joined by the Flat-Coated Retriever, GCH CH Valhala Born on the 4th of July, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Gamegards Rhythm of the Rain, and the Bouvier des Flandres, GCH CH Quiche’s Grand Finale.

It was the second BIS this year for the Bouvier who just returned to the show ring in June after being sidelined with an injury.

The Harrisburg Kennel Club closed it out Sunday with Don Sutton calling the  BIS.  Returning for another try at the big rosette were the Rottweiler, the Affenpinscher, the Miniature Poodle, & the Bouvier.  Making their first final appearance of the weekend were the English setter, CH Wyndswept’s Encore, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Celestial CJ’s Hearts on Fire, and the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH Castle Rocks Sbigstaff Mad About You.

Taking home the final top prize was the Rottweiler, Cadey.   This girl is not content to play second fiddle to the boys and has collected two BIS this summer.
