WINDWARD HAWAIIAN DFA DAY TWO

Our final report of the day comes from another island paradise, Oahu in the state of Hawaii.  You can read about Saturday‘s Windward Hawaiian Dog Fanciers Association show here.    Sunday’s WHDFA ended with Carolyn Herbel deciding among the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Halakai I Have A Dream, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Kekualono, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Craklin Rosie Lemils, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Broxden Bet Regards, the Toy Poodle, Smash JP Spirits, the Bulldog, GCH CH Trent’s Adorebull Last Word, and from the Bred By Exhibitor Dog class, the Australian Shepherd, Aumoekohu Dipped in Chocolate.

Her Best In Show was five year old the Cocker.  We are not sure if it’s his very first BIS, but we do know it is his first this year.  He was also piloted to Best Bred By Exhibitor In Show by breeder/owner/handler Gerri Cadiz.  Congratulations!

  1. Owner Gerri Cadiz has been breeding and showing her Halakai Cockers for over 40 years and has been the Publisher and Editor of Hawaii's successful dog magazine Ilio (meaning dog in Hawaiian) for just as many years.
Gerri also works tirelessly as president of the prominent Hawaiian Kennel Club.
It was a personal joy of mine to see her dog win Best in Show. Congratulations Gerri
