TRAP FALLS KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH Maverston Double Dutch

It doesn’t happen too often,  but when it does we are unabashedly proud to tell you, a Cairn Terrier has won an all breed Best In Show.  GCH CH Maverston Double Dutch was Mildred Bryant’s pick at today’s Trap Falls Kennel Club show in west Springfield MA.  Joining Batt and handler Geoff Dawson were the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Tender Is The Night, the Pharaoh Hound, dC Hallam’s Ethan Ramel MC, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Tempest’s Double Take, the Pekingese, GCH CH PalaceGarden Malachy, the Miniature Poodle, CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Propwash Reckon.

It’s the first BIS this year for a Cairn.  Batt finished 2010 with two big rosettes and 14 Terrier Group top prizes.  Congratulations to Geoff, breeder/owner Marly Lucier, and owner Tamara Erickson.

  1. Even better, Ms. Bryant is a real old-school Terrier person. No product, no toys. Just the dog. Congratulations, Geoff and the owners!
