INDIANA ACTION

We had fewer locations with shows this week than last, which made for some interesting competitions. Our largest cluster was in Fort Wayne IN where the acion began last Wednesday. We gave you the results on Wednesday’s and Friday’s shows. Here’s the rest.

CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot

On Friday, it was the Sturgis Kennel Club with Judith Goodin in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Jesse James, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Pupukearidge Ikaika O Sprngvly, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, the Miniature Pinscher, CH Kimro's Soldier Boy, the Schipperke, CH DeLemar Pink Flamingo, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Quiche's Demetrius. Her BIS was the Scottie, Sadie, the 96th career all breed Best and her second of the weekend.

CH Kimro's Soldier Boy

Saturday, the Marion Kennel Club saw Shirley Limoges in the BIS ring with four of Friday’s finalists, the Scottie, Sadie, the English Springer Spaniel, Jesse, the Doberman, CJ, and the MinPin, Major. Joining the fun were the Afghan Hound, CH Shenadoah Smoke And Mirrors, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH Lambluv’s Daydream believer. It was number 97 for the US’ number one dog, Sadie, and handler Gabriel Rangel as they march toward the century milestone.

CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice

Sunday, Dr Alvin Krause took over for the Northeastern Indiana Kennel Club and welcomed back returning finalists the Ridgeback, Ikaika, the Doberman, CJ, and the MinPin Major. Also asking for consideration were the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Hartlines True To Bear, the Smooth Fox Terrie, CH J’Cobe Kemosabe Vigilante Justice, the Chinese Shar-Pei,CH Chanoyang Take It To The Limit, and the Rough Collie, CH entry’s Braveheart.

Dr Krause capped the weekend with a BIS for the Smooth Fox, Dodger. After taking a back seat to the Scottie all week, the country’s number two Terrier made it to the final ring and made the most of it. This show was loaded with top 25 dogs and every breed winner can be proud they were there.
