MORE REGION FOUR MONDAY MOP UP

There were two more locations hosting shows in Region Four, the North Central Region. First we visit Gray Summit where the Mississippi River Valley Kennel Club post two shows.

CH Gingerbred Yukon Jack Desiderio

Saturday, judge Dana Cline met with the Labrador Retriever, CH Ronies Chantilly At Lighthouse, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, CH Paradigm Aariels Entourage CD RA, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Carowynd Creed Bois Duportugal, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Pirouettes Redbull Exemplar, the Havanese, CH Gingerbred Yukon Jack Desiderio, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Australian Shepherd, CH Shorelands Autumn Prairie Wind RN AX AXJ PT CD.

BIS went to the Havanese, Desi. Desi is the third Havanese to win a BIS this year. Congratulations to breeder Nona Dietrich, owners Dr Stephen & Patricia Lucas, and handler David Scheiris.

CH Dawin Spitfire

Sunday, the only finalists to return was the Standard Poodle and the Australian Shepherd. They were joined by the Irish Setter, CH Vineyards Bad Boy, the Afghan Hound, CH Wynsyr China Doll, the Doberman Pinscher, Francescas Bewitched, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, CH Ch Cornerstone Soliloquy, and the Affenpinscher, CH Induna Oliver Twist. We are luck enough to have several outstanding black Standard Poodles competing this year. Spitfire is one you should look for. Congratulations to breeder/owner Linda C Campbell and handler Sarah Riedl.

We also had a three day stop in West Fargo ND (I didn’t know Fargo was big enough for subdivision). While we did give you a peek at the results over the weekend, here’s the whole story.

Ch Velocity’s Shake Ur Bon Bon

They started on Friday with judge Pluis Davern on deck. Her finalists were the Weimaraner, CH Win’Weim’s It’s My Grey Goose, the American Foxhound, CH Devlon’s Fame And Fortune, the
Great Dane, Strider’s Mojo Rising, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Topwyre Candy Man, the Pomeranian, Ch Velocity’s Shake Ur Bon Bon, the Dalmatian, CH Rockstar All Around Road Trip, the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Quiche’s Demetrius.

The BIS went to AKC’s rarest breed the American Foxhound. If not for dedicated breeders/owners like Don & Kelly Leonard and Kristin Kendall this breed would just be a memory. Our thanks to them and congratulations on the BIS. Pity we can’t find a photo.

CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight

We did tell you that Saturday Karen Wilson selected the Golden Retriever, CH Rush Hill’s All Fools On Deck, as her BIS. We didn’t tell you that the only Friday finalist to make it to her ring was the Bouvier. The others were the Ibizan Hound, CH Amahte’s Gold Fever, the Boxer, CH Desert’s She’s Everything, the Smooth Fox Terrier, CH Flair-Rill Versace, the Smooth Chihuahua, CH Ayrwen Star Kissed Delight, and the Bulldog, Bullion Diamond Piaget.

CH Quiche's Demetrius

Sunday, the wrapped it up with judge Thora P Brown. Returning finalists included the Golden, the Ibizan Hound, the Boxer, the Wire Fox, and the Bouvier. They were joined buy newcomers, the Pomeranian, CH Pufpride Somewhere In Time, and the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Lorac’s Rock And Roll Band It. Bouviers are another breed with a deep bench and Demetrius is the number one Bouvier. We are, quite frankly, surprised that this is his first BIS since winning Best In Show on 2 January. Demetrius, bred by sisters Louise & Elaine Paquette, is owned by Elaine Pacquette and Sondra & David Riser, and handled by Elaine.

Next, we have the results from Region Five, the South Central Region
