REGION SEVEN RECAP

Finally, we come to the Southwest Region, Region Seven, where all the action was in Pomona CA, where there was a four day stand. We were ale to give you the BIS winners for Fidat, Saturday, & Sunday.

CH Thaon’s Mowgli

It started off with the Bouvier Des Flandres, CH Avalons Frontier Sleepnlady Webber, going BIS under judge Margaret Reed at Friday’s Los Encinos Kennel Club. The other six finalists were the Irish Water Spaniel, CH Pooles Ide Bonnie Brook, the Afghan Hound, CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Standard Schnauzer, CH Pepper Tree Apollo V Silverado, the Airedale Terrier, CH Huntwood‘s Wildest Performance, the Pug, CH Tupelo ShoBoat Tu China Tu, and the Standard Poodle, CH Penndragon Masaniello.

CH Artizoe High Caliber

It continued on Saturday with Susan St. John Brown naming the Boxer, CH Duba Dae's Who’s Your Daddy, her BIS at the Antelope Valley Kennel Club. Also asking for the BIS were the English Setter, CH Artizoe High Caliber, the 13” Beagle, CH Jabrwoki's Le Jazz Hot, Welsh Terrier, CH Sanherpinc Paisa, the Bichon Frise, CH Mybliss Petite Coquette, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Coventry Vanity Fair.

Sunday, at the San Fernando Kennel Club, the Beagle, the Boxer, the Welsh Terrier, the Bichon, and the Corgi, were all back to see Dr Donald Sturz Jr. The only newcomers were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Otein’sTommy Bahama, and the Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug. As we told you earlier, BIS went to the Welsh Terrier, Paisa.

CH Splash's The Professor

Monday, Only one of the prior finalists would come back, the Pug, Boo, for the last ring at the San Gabriel Valley Kennel Club. Judge Dorothy Collier greeted the English Cocker Spaniel, CH Lynann's Touchstone, the Basset Hound, CH Splash's The Professor, the Alaskan Malamute, CH Nanuke's Take It To The Limit, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Kathrich Maximo, the Bulldog, CH Babbys Turn It Up A Notch, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, CH Lady Tuckaway Of Camelot.

Once was enough for the Professor, the nation’s number one Basset. The four year old was bred by Bill, Jo Ann & Jacqueline Nolan who co-own the Professor with Shirley & Arthur Ponsart.
