FINGER LAKES KENNEL CLUB

GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky

The Number Four Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky,  scored the BACK2BACK BIS today in Romulus NY overshadowing the head to head match up of the nation’s Number One & Number Two’s Dogs.   Number One & Two, the German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, and the English Springer Spaniel, GCH CH Wynmoor Champagne Supernova, met today in Jim Reynolds’ Sporting Group at the Finger Lakes Kennel Club show and finished one/two.

 GCH CH Yakee’s Easily Persuaded

The GWP, Oakley moved forward to Ruth Zimmerman’s final to watch the Wire, Sky, pick up the BIS and the Pekingese, GCH CH Yakee’s Easily Persuaded, get the RBIS.  Joining the fun were the Scottish Deerhound, CH Foxcliffe Enchanted Evening, the Bullmastiff, GCH CH Windovers Hey There Handsome, the Dalmatian, GCH CH Spotlight’s Ruffian, and the Border Collie, GCH CH Bon-Clyde Take One.  Sky and handler Gabriel Rangel have strung together 24 of the biggest BIS to climb into the Top Five Dogs All Breeds.  We wouldn’t count this one out just yet.

NEW FOXHOUND RECORD!

GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box

From Millwood VA we hear the country’s Number One Hound, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, has broken the breed record for career BIS set by her grandfather, CH Kiarry's Reflection of the Sun.  Jewel’s 25th career BIS came at today’s Warrenton Kennel Club show courtesy of judge Elizabeth Muthard.

Jewel and breeder/owner/handler Lisa Miller did it in style, besting two of the Top Five Dogs All Breeds, the Number Three Dog, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Protocol’s Veni Vidi Vici, and the Number Five Dog, the Affenpinscher, GCH CH Banana Joe V Tani Kazari.

GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby

Also on hand to witness the occasion were the Pointer, GCH CH Marjetta in the Limelight JH, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Lomondview Clementina, the RBIS, the Miniature Poodle, GCH CH Surrey Sugar Baby, and the Bearded Collie, CH Briarpatch Just One Look HT.

Jewel has been sitting in the Number Eleven All Breed Spot of and on for several months.  This win won’t get her in the Top Ten, but it will but her quite close.  Our congratulations to Lisa, co-breeder Harry Miller, and owner Ellen Charles.
