TWO MORE BIS

We don’t have all the results, but we do have the names of two more BIS winners for you. The first is the Wire Haired Pointing Griffon, CH Flatbrooks Royal Point Attitude, who won his very first BIS all the way up in Palmer AK at Friday’s Cook Inlet Kennel Club show. Our congratulations to breeder Ginger Hughes, owners Richard & Lorine Byrne, and handler Valerie Nunes-Atkinson.

The country’s number two Working Dog, number eight dog all breeds, the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream, made it back to back NIS in Harrisburg PA at today’s Penn Ridge Kennel Club show. Looks like Scarlett and handler Diego Fernando Garcia are determined to improve on that number eight ranking.

CEEJAY, CJ, & THE CHIN

More heavy hitters were looking to improve their rankings today in Greensboro NC with Dr Robert Smith at the Carolina Kennel Club show.

CH Chindale’s Farah Fawcett

His seven were the German Wirehaired Pointer , CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena’s Carte Blanche, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Mac-Ken-Char’s Here I Am, the Japanese Chin, CH Chindale’s Farah Fawcett, the Bichon Frise, Rigae Miabella Sweet Georgia, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek’s Sangria V Barick.

Today, it wasn’t CeeJay, or even CJ, who won the BIS. It was Chin, Japanese Chin, that is, as the 20 month old bitch went over two top five dogs. We’re impressed. Are you impressed? She is new on the scene so you will have to forgive the puppy photo. She was bred by Dale Adams & Vincent Adam. Vince co-owns her with Jennifer Stevens & Maripi Wooldridge who handles her as well. Congratulations to them all.

ULI BEATS THE BOYS AGAIN

Your dedicated blogger is back at the hotel while the rest of our party parties. It’s rare that I will pass up cocktails for show reports, but such is the lot of the dog show junkie.

First we finally have a legitimate reason for late show reports from Wisconsin. Today’s Cudahy Kennel Club show never got underway as severe rain in the Milwaukee area caused cancellation of the event. Wisconsin fanciers are like Packers’ fans. Only the most severe weather will cause a cancellation. Apparently it was that bad. Our condolences to the Wisconsin folks.

CH Kepley's Showbiz Razzle Dazzle

Meanwhile, the dog folks in Ballston Spa NY are enjoying the perfect Adirondack summer at today’s Southern Adirondack Dog Club show. Jacqueline Stacy’s magnificent seven were the Parti-color Cocker Spaniel, CH Mario’s Grand Slam Playa, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay’s Midnight Confession, the Rottweiler, CH Cammcastle's Hollywood First Lady , the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Over Night Celebrity, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

BIS went to Uli, the steamroller of a Bulldog, who has been running over her competition lately. You did notice that there were two top ten dogs in that final with her?

CEEJAY, NOT CJ

Once again we apologize for being a little late with show results. We are still in Washington DC at the mercy of hotel WIFI and the women in my life.

CH Rokeena Carte Blanche

First we have Friday’s results from Greensoboro NC, where we have several of our top ranked dogs swapping wins for the past couple of days. To recap, Wednesday it was the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, aka CeeJay going BIS. Thursday it was the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, aka CJ, who took the top prize. Both made Gloria Geringer's final today along with the German Wire Haired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Sudor Epoch Journey With Devonshire, the Japanese Chin, CH Chindale’s Farah Fawcett, the Bichon Frise, Rigae Miabella Sweet Georgia, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek’s Sangria V Barick.

Today's Greater Hickory Kennel Club Best In Show was the country’s top Hound and number five dog all breeds, the PBGV, CeeJay, not the Doberman, CJ. We know. It's confusing to us too. How do these dogs and handlers turn up the heat like this in the second half of the year? We think no one should be too comfortable right now. Everyone seems to be bringing their “A" game.

IT'S THE BOXER IN HARRISBURG

We have partial results from Harrisburg PA where it’s day one for the Penn Ridge Kennel Club. The first day final was judged by Peter Baynes. His BIS was the Boxer, CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream. Scarlett has not received the attention that the number one working dog has, but she is still sitting at the number seven all breed spot.

CH Winfall Brookwood Styled Dream

Also on hand in the final were two other top twenty dogs, the German Wirehaired Pointer, CH Ripsnorter’s Mt View Lookout, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle, as well as the BIS winning Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Riverside Wicked Wonderful. If anyone knows the Terrier, Toy, & Non-Sporting winners, please share.

PULI ADDS ANOTHER BIS

We are now in Arlington VA back in our hotel room after installing our daughter in the Washington DC apartment that is to be her home for the next four years while she pursues an advanced degree at Georgetown. With the miracle of WIFI we still get to send you show reports.

CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams

Up in Ballston Spa NY, it’s day two and the host club is the Mohawk Valley Kennel Club. Best In Show duty was ably accomplished by Terry Stacy. His finalists were the Golden Retriever, CH Tempo’s U’ve Got What Gets Me, the Afghan Hound, CH Pizzazzz Debonair JC, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Skansen’s C’Sofia Of Grandeur, the Lakeland Terrier, CH Manoir’s Match Pointe, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

It was the nation’s one Herding Dog, the Puli, Conrad, who took home the BIS. Conrad has not received as much attention as number one and number two, but he sits firmly in the number three all breed spot, ready to move up if he is given any opening.

TOY POODLE BIS IN BALLSTON SPA

We are overnighting in Knoxville TN on our way to Washington DC. Happily, we now have the WIFI operational in our hotel room and can now tell you the Ballston Spa NY results.

CH Smash Jp Moon Walk

BIS went to the US’ number one Toy Dog, the Poodle, Walker. We currently have Walker as the number eight dog all breeds.

CJ ADDS ANOTHER BIS

It was day two today in Greensboro NC for the Danville Kennel Club and Joan Schurr Kefeli was the lucky judge who made the Best In Show choice.

CH Bret D Gabriel's Lost Art

The seven beauties asking for the BIS were the German Wire Haired Pointer, CH Star K’s Mile Hi Valentine, yesterday’s BIS winner, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Bedlington Terrier, CH Sudor Epoch Journey With Devonshire, the Japanese Chin, CH Chindales Farah Fawcett, the Dalmatian, CH Bret D Gabriel's Lost Art, and the German Shepherd Dog, CH Shoal Creek Sangria V Barick.

And it was CJ, the Doberman, keeping the pressure up with another BIS. This red girl is red hot.

BULLDOG JUST KEEPS ROLLING

Ballston Spa NY is 175 miles and a world away from Manhattan. Exhibitors may have escaped the rat race of the Big Apple, but they certainly haven’t escaped the grueling competition that is the New York dog game.

CH Kepley's Showbiz Razzle Dazzle

The five day visit to the Adirondacks started with Dr John Ioia directing the final ring of the Saratoga New York Kennel Club. Vying for a nod were the Brittany, CH Tonan-Hope's R U Kiddin' Me, the 15” Beagle, CH Torquay’s Midnight Confession, the Rottweiler, CH Cammcastle's Hollywood First Lady, the Border Terrier, CH Meadowlake Overnight Celebrity, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Bulldog, CH Kepley’s Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Puli, CH Cordmaker Field Of Dreams.

She had two BIS last week and she added another today. She is the winningest Bulldog bitch in our memory. How soon will we see her in the all breed top 25? You’ll see it here first.

PBGV BIS IN GREENSBORO

Some of the top ranked dogs that were in Salem VA last week are in Greensboro NC this week. The Danville Kennel Club kicked off the five day stop with Dr Carmen Battaglia commanding the BIS ring.

CH Rokeena Carte Blanche

His finalists were the Black Coker Spaniel, CH Bracon’s Leapin Lily Pads, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the West Highland White Terrier, CH Mac-Ken-Char’s Here I Am, the Silky Terrier, CH Mtnview Prince Chbaka Ekruro, the Bulldog, CH Avalon Patch-Adams, and the Bearded Collie, CH Briarpatch Look At That CD HT AXJ AX RE

BIS went to the country’s number one hound, the PBGV, CeeJay. After a couple of weekends watching others grab the top spot, the number five dog all breeds demonstrated that he and handler Jane Alston-Meyers are in this race to the end.
