CARMEL RESULTS

While California may be having its financial and political issues these days, we still think that they have some of the most prettiest show sites in the country. One of the finest is the Del Monte Kennel Club show in Carmel, one of the most beautiful towns on the planet.

CH Cashin’s Walk The Line

Enjoying the surroundings today were the Weimeraner, CH Smokecity Silhouettte Dbl Ur Pleasur, the Greyhound, CH My Camelot Blue Bearl JC, the Siberian Husky, CH Karnovanda’s Your Teddy Bear, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH Kathrich Maximo, the Brussels Griffon, CH Cashin’s Walk The Line, the Dalmatian, CH Xanadu’s Angel Sabrina, and the Polish Lowland Sheepdog, CH White Star’s Itsa Sirius Family Affair.

Judith Brown's BIS choice was the Griff, Johnny Cashin, his very first. Congratulations to breeder/owner Felicia Cashin, co-breeder Margie Hamilton, co-owner Carole Ross, and handler Jenny Wornall.

SADIE BEST AT BEXAR

It was the second time around for the Bexar County Kennel Club as they held their second show of the week in San Antonio TX .

CH Rountown Mercedes Of Maryscot

Today’s judge was Dana Cline and today’s finalists were the Golden Retriever, CH Toasty’s Treasure Island, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviator‘s Luck Be A Lady, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, the Pug, CH Tupelo ShoBoat Tu China Tu, the Standard Poodle, CH Donnchada Sweet Dreams, and the Canaan Dog, CH Mad River Cool Breeze Blowing.

BIS went to the country’s number one dog, the Scottie, Sadie. You didn’t think she was going to let the whole weekend go by without winning a BIS, did you?

BIS FROM THE OPEN CLASS

The Huntington (WV) has checked in with the results from day one of their two day stand. Today’s BIS judge was Dr Richard Greathouse.

The seven final dogs were the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever, CH Foxvale Foxbrooke Dare To Cruise, the Greyhound, CH Grandcru Clos Erasmus, the Newfoundland, Kloofbear’s Mischief Managed, the Wire Fox Terrier, CH M & M’s Nicholas Nickelbe, the Shih Tzu, Ming Dynasty’s Hope Diamond, the Standard Poodle, CH Da Maya Hightide Splash, and the Bouvier des Flandres, CH Austin Ally Van Aachen.

BIS went to the Shih Tzu, who made it all the way to the top from the Open Bitch Class. A very auspicious start to the 15 month old’s show career. Congratulations to breeders/owners Gloria & Jim Blackburn.

NATIVE SONS & DAUGHTERS

This time of year only native Floridians dare venture out in Palm Beach FL. So it was not surprising that all the finalists at today’s Jupiter-Tequesta Dog Club show were all residents of the Sunshine State.

CH Riverside Wicked Wonderful

Douglas Johnson chose his BIS from the Black Cocker Spaniel, CH Bracon’s Leapin Lily Pads, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, the Boxer, CH Kim’s Amazing Grace Custom Made, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Sanddollars Dream Catcher, the Pug, CH Norkus Risky Business, the Lhasa Apso, CH Tara Huff Edrey Starbuck, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Riverside Wicked Wonderful.

Best In Show went to the Corgi, Diedre, her second this year. See, local shows can be fun.

BACK TO BACK BEARDIE BIS

Our friends in Essex Junction VT Champlain have checked in with the results from the Champlain Valley Kennel. Club.

CH Wassong’s Djebel of Lollipop

Five of judge Robert Forsyth finalists were repeat visitors from Friday’s final, the Flat Coated Retriever, CH Light-Foot’s Sugar On Snow, the Bloodhound, CH Soonipi Dncin In The Moonlight MLH, the Pomeranian, CH Jan-Shar’s Elementary My Dear Watson, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Wassong’s Djebel of Lollipop, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins. The Bernese Mountain Dog, CH Alpenspirit‘s Lion King, and the Irish Terrier, CH Feet St Fenway Fan joined the fun for today’s festivities.

However, it was Friday’s BIS winner, the Bearded Collie, Roy, making it back to back Bests. Seems the cool Vermont summer is just the ticket for the Beardie.

REPEAT WINNER IN SAN ANTONIO

We have a report in from San Antonio TX where day three goes to the Austin Kennel Club.

CH Rushmar’s Charmer

The Austin KC asked Elizabeth Muthard to review the final seven, the Labrador Retriever, CH Casbar’s Hart To Hart, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Rokeena Carte Blanche, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviator`s Luck Be A Lady, the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, the Pug, CH Tupelo ShoBoat Tu China Tu, the Lhasa Apso, CH Rushmar’s Charmer, and the Rough Collie, CH Sylvan Argent Simply Irresistible.

CH Tupelo ShoBoat Tu China Tu

Now if you have been following this cluster, you know that five of the seven were back for the third time seeking the top prize. Only the Lab, RJ, and the PWD, Ladybug, were making their first appearances of the weekend. However, it was the Lhasa, Buzz, repeating his Wednesday win, taking home Best In Show number two of the week. Did we tell you that five of the finalists are top twenty dogs and three are top ten dogs? But, then, you knew that, didn’t you?

CJ WINS IN OHIO

CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton

A reader has just advised us that the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, was Terry Stacy’s BIS pick at today’s Grand River Kennel Club show in Madison OH. CJ, the nation’s number two dog all breeds, is nearly 6,000 points ahead of number three who is 6,000 points of number four. Our top three appear to have staked their claim to their respective spots. Nonetheless, we suspect this season has surprises aplenty for us yet.

VERMONT RESULTS

We have results in from Essex Junction VT where the Woodstock Dog Club started the New England dog show weekend with Robert Moore commanding the BIS ring.

CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins

The final seven were the Flat Coated Retriever, CH Light-Foot’s Sugar On Snow, the Bloodhound, CH Soonipi Dncin In The Moomlight MLH, the Samoyed, CH Pebbles’ Run Hammy Davis Jr, the Airedale Terrier, CH Stirling Cool Hand Luke, the Pomeranian, CH Jan-Shar’s Elementary My Dear Watson, the Tibetan Spaniel, CH Wassong’s Djebel of Lollipop, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.

And he named last was first. The Beardie, Roy, picked up his sixth BIS this year. He is certainly has built some momentum with three BIS in the last month.
