Our next report comes in from Freeport IL where the Rockford-Freeport
Illinois Kennel Club hosted two shows this past weekend. Frank McCartha had the day one final and his
pick of the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Nexus Total Eclipse, the Otterhound, GCH CH
Aberdeen’s Under the Influence, the Standard Schnauzer, GCH CH Katon's Eye of
the Tiger V Morgnwald, the Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, CH Shandalee Fireworks,
the Toy Poodle, GCH CH Baliwick Honey Boo Boo, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH
Vogelflight’s “Honor” to Pillowtalk, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt's
Autumn Breeze.
Finishing one/two were the Aussie, Breezy, and the Toy
Poodle, Honey Boo Boo. It’s the third BIS this year for Breezy and handler Paul Catterson.
Judge Michael Sonse would see the English Springer Spaniel,
GCH CH Ocoee Dsqd With A Vengeance, the Whippet, GCH CH Kamada's New York
Minute, the aforementioned Standard Schnauzer, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier,
GCH CH Cumhill Hell Raiser, the Pomeranian, CH Tab's Scootin' Boomer Of Storm,
the previously named Bichon, and the Australian shepherd, Breezy.
Judge Sonse would go with the Springer, George, as his Best
and Breezy, the Aussie, as his Reserve. It’s the second BIS this month for George, and
his fourth in 12 final appearances this year.
I think the Aussie has at least one BIS before this, you might want to check if you get a chance.
