GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse

While many of our fanciers are braving torrential rains to
get to shows this weekend, others are enjoying the perennial summer of the
west. Life was far from dreary for the
seven dogs in Elizabeth Sweigert’s final yesterday at the Palisades Kennel Club’s
opener in Augusta NJ.

They were the Irish Water Spaniel, GCH CH Whistlestop’s
Riley on Fire, the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the
Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Cairn
Terrier, GCH CH Rocco’s Collar King Carl XVI Gustaf, the Havanese, GCH CH Fuzzy
Farm Qbin Who’s On First, the Tibetan Terrier, GCH CH Rinchen’s Blazing Black
Icon, and the Briard, GCH CH Deja Vu Mia Cool As A Cucumber.
The two she liked were the Portie, Matisse, and the IWS,
Riley. Matisse, the country’s Number Two
Dog All Breeds, has treated the fancy to a dazzling string of wins including 12
BIS in his last 13 shows. Yesterday’s
win brings his 2013 BIS total to 67, the most of any dog this year.
