GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto
Our next report comes in from the club with the oxymoron
name the Greater Humble Area Kennel Club of Humble TX, population 15,392, some
20 miles north of Houston.
Saturday’s HAKC final featured judge Dr Carol White-Moser
and the Pointer, GCH CH Chesterhope State of T Art, the Saluki, GCH CH Appalachias
Allamyrra Hajji, the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby’s Toast with
Gusto, the American Staffordshire Terrier, GCH CH An Garda Deja Vu Looking at
You, the Papillon, GCH CH InVolo The King of Pop, the American Eskimo Dog, GCH
CH Ducats Smokin Hot, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Cayugas Isle of Hope.
GCH CH Appalachias Allamyrra Hajji
Her top two were the Greater Swiss, Gus, and the Saluki, Ally. Gus
is the country’s Number One Greater Swiss Mountain Dog with five BIS in 19
final appearances this year.
CH An Garda Deja Vu Looking at You
On Sunday judge Sharol Candace Way would see the same
Pointer, Saluki, AmStaff, and Papillon.
Rounding out the final were the Boxer, GCH CH Winfall I Dream of Style,
the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Winning Card, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Coventry
Just A Little Crush. She would like the
Saluki, Ally, for her BIS and the AmStaff for her RBIS. It’s the second BIS in 18 final appearances
this year for Ally and breeder/owner/handler Gerry Thornton.
When you realize that the heat index on Saturday was well over 100 degrees, it's amazing that all those coated breeds stood up so very well in the Groups and then Best in Show too!
