GCH CH Déjà vu Mia Cool as a Cucumber
We start our Monday Morning Mop Up in Connecticut where New
England fanciers spent three days in that area’s unique tradition, the split
venue. Exhibitors started their weekend
in Shelton CT where the Longshore-Southport Kennel Club opened a two day
set. Friday ended with judge Suzanne
Dillin in the final ring with the English Springer Spaniel, CH Cerise Sentinel,
the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir, the Samoyed, CH McMagic’s
Mojo, the Norfolk Terrier, GCH CH Yarrow Venerie Ticket to Ride, the GCH CH Fuzzy
Farm Qbin Who’s On First, the Schipperke, GCH CH De LaMer Point Break, and the
Briard, GCH CH Déjà vu Mia Cool as a Cucumber.
GCH CH De LaMer Point Break
Her Top Two were the Briard, Dill, and the Schipperke,
Surfer. Dill is the country’s Number One
Briard and Number Nine Herding Dog with four BIS and 28 Herding Groups.
GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box
At Saturday’s Ox Ridge Kennel Club show BIS judge Judy Harrington
would get an all new seven, the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH PBJ’s Fearless,
the American Foxhound, GCH CH Kiarry’s Pandora’s Box, the Giant Schnauzer, GCH
CH Ramahill Absolutes I Am Legend of RW, the Cairn Terrier, GCH CH Rocco’s
Collar King Carl XVI Gustaf, the Miniature Pinscher, GCH CH Kimro n Spivas
Super Trooper, the Standard Poodle, GCH
CH L’Paige Smokey Mountain memories, and the Puli, GCH CH Fuzzy Farm Twist and
Shout.
GCH CH PBJ’s Fearless
Finishing one/two were the Foxhound, jewel, and the Cocker,
Taylor. Jewel is the nation’s Number One
Hound and Number Five Dog All Breeds with 25 BIS and 82 Hound Groups this year.
After the final everyone loaded up the RVs and headed for
Goshen CT some 40 miles into the northern Connecticut wilderness for Sunday’s Northwestern
Connecticut Dog Club show. The seven
that made it to Cathy Daugherty’s final were the Weimaraner, GCH CH Unity’s
Bzyfeet Laverne Defazio, the aforementioned Afghan Hound, the Siberian Husky, GCH CH Myla N Twister s
Rocksanne, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Charthill Top Billing, the previously
seen MinPin, the Schipperke, Surfer, and a Shetland Sheepdog from the classes, Narnia
Principe DaVinci.
GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir
Closing the weekend were the Afghan, Ryder, with the BIS,
and the four year old Siberian bitch, with the RBIS. This
has been a great year for Afghans with three multi-BIS winning Afghans out. Ryder is the Number Six Hound with a breed leading
11 BIS as well as 35 Hound Groups. We like
that batting average.
