While we wait for Region Five results from Helena MT, we will move on to the West Coast. The Gig Harbor Kennel Club fielded a pair of shows this weekend in Shelton WA.
We gave you Saturday’s results earlier. Sunday, Denise Cornelssen had the Irish Setter, CH Ashton Peaceful Easy Feeling, the Black & Tan Coonhound, CH Silver Ridge Showtyme At Windbourne, the Akita, CH Mojo's Rock'N Your World, the American Staffordshire Terrier, CH Fraja NE Gold Ticket, the Toy Fox Terrier, Valcopy The Bounty Hunter, the Standard Poodle, CH Brighton Lakeridge Summer In The Hamptons, and the Puli, CH Lajosmegyi Singin In The Rain.
BIS went to the AmStaff, another dog we have not seen much of this year. However, the three year old managed to log at least one BIS in 2008 before going on hiatus. Congratulations to breeders Bonnie Gottier & Kim Rudzik, owners Jolene Lee & Kim Rudzik, and handler Tony Carter.
Meanwhile down the coast in Southern California, the Santa Ana Valley Kennel Club, held two shows in El Cerritos CA. Saturday’s judge was Michael Dougherty who saw the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, CH Flatbrook Royal Attitude, JH, the Whippet, CH Winway Redford With A Splash, the Portuguese Water Dog, CH Aviators Luck Be A Lady, the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH Perrisblu Paris, the Pug, CH Nirvanas’ Blue Angel, the Bichon Frise, CH Mybliss Petite Coquette, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Maplecreek Back In Black. BIS went to PWD, Lady Bug, her third this year.
Sunday, Marilyn Mayfield saw the same Wire Griff, Kerry Blue, Bichon, & Corgi. Making their first appearance of the weekend were the Whippet, CH Winway Redford With A Splash, the Great Dane, CH Shalako Conspiracy Of Rondomar, and the Pomernaian, CH Horizon N Janesa Indian Sundown. It was the black Pom, Indy, picking up his first BIS. We understand that Indy has just made his west coast debut. We’d say that this was a rather good start. Congratulations to breeders Laurie Otis, Camilla Knight & Jerrie Freia, owners Ron & Marilyn Smith, & Krystal Morris and handler Curtiss Smith.
