We’ve just returned from a run for the border. No not Taco Bell, we visited our local show just across the state line from Memphis in Southhaven MS where the Olive Branch Mississippi Kennel Club kicked off their two day stand with Jean Fournier judging BIS.
Her finalists were the Brittany, CH Dualan Marsport Super Charger, the 15” Beagle, CH Irish Coffee Tipperary Sparkling Wine, the Kuvasz, CH Szumeria’s Wildwood Silver Six Pence, the Cairn Terrier, CH Winsome Fergus MacFlynn, the Smooth Coat Chihuahua, CH Osito Dream Lover, the Chow Chow, CH Rio’s American Design, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, CH Riverside Wicked Wonderful.
Her BIS was the nine month old Kuvasz, Tanner. Tanner announced his intentions earlier this year winning the Kuvasz Club Of America Specialty at just seven months of age. Tanner was bred by Lynn Brady & Constance Townsend, who co-own this puppy prodigy with Claudia Muir. Congratulations to them all.
Our thanks to all of the exhibitors who took the time to chat with us. As Cairn owners we were delighted to see Fergus, the only Cairn Terrier to win an all breed BIS in the last three years, in the final ring and meet his owners Kendall & Tim Lake and his handler Patsy Wade. We also want to thank handler Judi Hartell for taking time out of her busy day to talk with us. We had so much fun, we will go back again tomorrow. Who knows, maybe the Cairn will win this time ;-)

Billy, I think this is the same Cairn you had on your Blog awhile back and then you pulled the picture when the BIS picture came through and my mom missed seeing the photo. Thanks so much for showing a top winning Cairn. Mom and I love the breed and they often seem to get ignored in the group ring. Mom and I hope he wins today!!!!!!!!!!
