Today in Hampton VA it was the Gloucester Kennel Club Of Virginia's turn to host.
Judge Don Rogers’ final seven consisted of the German Shorthaired Pointer, CH Fieldfines Back In Action, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, CH Celestial CJ’s Hearts On Fire, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Phillmar Sobe Monster, the Australian Terrier, CH Crestwoods Glamor Girl, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Standard Poodle, CH Alaman Worth Every Penny, and the Old English Sheepdog, CH CH Lightnings Tequila Sunrise.
This BIS makes Walker, the Toy Poodle, the number one Toy Dog in the country.

ReplyDeleteit is very disappointing to see a well known handler run up on the dog in front of him in the BIS ring to try to throw that dog off. It is more unfortunate when apparetnly the ploy worked as the Toy Poodle went BIS after the judge was *really* watching the Aussie bitch. The sentiment was with the Aussie as it was our National Specialty weekend, the B/O/H is a beloved icon in the breed AND the breed has NOT WON A BIS SINCE 2000! Too bad judges find it necessary to go with a "top ranked" dog because of its reputation.
