The country’s Number One Dog All Breeds, the Portuguese
Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, was in Gettysburg PA on
Friday to pick up a BISS from judge Barbara Dempsey-Alderman at the 2014
National Specialty of the Portuguese Water Dog Club of America. He would motor on over to Goshen CT on
Saturday to pick up another two all-breed BIS.
At Saturday’s Ox Ridge Kennel Club show Matisse was judge
Karen Wilson’s Best In Show. Rounding
out her final were the Pointer, GCH CH Hipoint Here Comes The Sun, the Afghan
Hound, GCH CH Tells Matrix Reloaded, the Airedale Terrier, GCH CH Darling Lucy
In The Sky With Diamonds, the RBIS, the Pug, GCH CH Hill Country’s Tag I’m It,
the Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, and the Bearded Collie, GCH
CH Classical’s my Turn CGC.

At Sunday’s Northwestern Connecticut Dog Club final judge
Ken McDermott would see it the same way, naming Matisse his BIS and JJ, the
Pug, his RBIS while the English Springer
Spaniel, GCH CH Cerise Celtic Thunder, the above named Afghan, the Welsh
Terrier, GCH CH Darwyn Here For A Good Time, and the returning Xolo &
Beardie looked on.
Matisse is on pace to set a new record for a single year,
having collected 103 BIS in less than nine months.
