As we mentioned Saturday, we spent the weekend at our local show here in Memphis hosted by the Tupelo (MS) Kennel Club. We gave you Saturday’s results. Here’s Sunday’s.
Our BIS judge was Frank Washabaugh and he had an impressive final seven, the Irish Setter, CH Vineyards Bad Boy, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Highgates Andrew Of The Ridge, the Giant Schnauzer, CH Firebolts Vindicator, the Norwich Terrier, Barnstables Dare To Dream , the Pug, CH Ivanwold Diva At Riversong, the Standard Poodle, CH Dawin Spitfire, and the Smooth Collie, CH Sunnlands Grand Entance. His Best In Show was the Pug, Diva, her second this year.
On a personal note, we picked up our first championship point on our 16 month old Cairn Terrier bitch, Shadowland’s Devil In Disguise. Our thanks to breed judge James Ham, handler Clark Pennypacker for taking over the grooming and giving us some handling tips, and to Dee Dee’s breeder, Dee Germany, and friend Cathy Burleson for cheer leading. Dee Germany had a very good weekend winning Best Puppy in Show on Saturday with her Cairn Puppy Dog, Moorskamp Will Of Iron At Shadowline, and Best Bred By Exhibitor In Show on Sunday, Shadowland’s Perfect Camouflage. Best of all, we all had a leisurely dinner Saturday to talk dog shows. We think more people would enjoy dog shows if they enjoyed the company of their fellow exhibitors.
