GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto
A Best In Show by a Greater Swiss Mountain Dog is a rare thing. Back2back BIS by a Greater Swiss is a once in a lifetime event. The Greater Swiss Mountain Dog, GCH CH Derby’s Toast with Gusto, swept both the Ozarks Kennel Club shows this weekend in Springfield MO.
GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor
On Saturday judge Jon Cole picked Gus out of a lineup that included the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the Saluki, GCH CH Aurora’s Song and Dance Man, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Abbeyrose Black Diamond, his RBIS, the Pug, GCH CH Caper’s Sirius Endeavor, the Bichon Frise, GCH CH Saks Winning Card, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Lockenhaus Rumor Has It V Kenlyn.
GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble
Sunday judge Peter Green would like Gus better than 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble, whom he liked better than the returning Cocker, Bichon, & GSD, the Smooth Fox Terrier, GCH CH Nileefox Taylor Made, or the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Fist Face A Penny for your Thought.
Gus is the only Greater Swiss to win a BIS since 2007, collecting a career 13 BIS. Gus is this year’s Number 11 Working Dog with seven BIS and 30 Working Groups. Our congratulations to breeders Robyn & Ken Toth & Kristin Kleeman, owner Sue Copeland, and handler Scott Sommer.
