We didn’t really believe that our Monday Morning Mop Up would be coming to you from our family home in Memphis TN this week. We had expected to be blogging from a nearby hospital room. However, our surgery wildly exceeded our expectations and we are recovering, be it somewhat gingerly, sitting in our favorite chair in the family room.
GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect
Though we may have been here in Memphis our eyes, like much of the dog world’s, were turned toward Houston TX’ Reliant Park were any of our top contenders were hoping to take home part of the mammoth points available. Four of our Top Ten dogs All Breeds made it to judge Barbara Dempsey Alderman’s final at Saturday’s Beaumont Kennel Club show, The Number One Dog, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Number Two Dog, GCH CH Bugaboo’s Picture Perfect, the Number Three Dog, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Brittany, GCH CH Rainbow Splash’s Ruggedly Handsome.
They were joined by the Saluki, GCH CH Appalachia’s Allamyrra Hajji, the West Highland White Terrier, GCH CH Tullybloom’s Classified Credentials, and the Maltese, GCH CH Scruffys-Validian Busy Buzzing Around.
She would place Number One and Two in that order. The win bring Matisse’s 2014 resume to 72 BIS and 96 Working Groups.
At Sunday's Galveston County Kennel Club show jJudge Helen Nietsch would see the same seven save two, the Scottish Terrier, GCH CH Kelwyn’s Gm Freestyle Flyer, and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, GCH CH Forestcreek Louisiana Lagniappe. She also picked Matisse and Swagger as her top two, naming the OES BIS and the Portie RBIS. Swagger heads into the back stretch with 47 BIS and 84 herding Groups this year.
