Working Group 2013 Westminster Kennel Club Show
Welcome to our Garden Party. Tune your TV to CNBC Network and join us for dogdom's ultimate armchair quarterbacking. Please say hello to your host when you come in and then feel free to mingle. It's like any other open house. We always have a few surprise guests drop in.
There
are very few rules. Feel free to cheer for your favorites and make fun
of the spectators. Just please, this is a PG 13 room. We all
appreciate humor, just keep it clean and don't be too cruel (a little
teasing is OK).
To participate just log in (you can be anonymous) &
leave a comment and then refresh your screen frequently to view the
latest comments. The most important rule is HAVE FUN, it's just a dog show and you are among friends.
The Dog Show Poop annual Garden Party is now open. Tune your TV to CNBC, grab your favorite beverage, and join me for a night of doggy fun! Please say hi to your host when you come inside. Welcome!
ReplyDeleteFirst up tonight is the Hound Group. There were surprise winners in Afghans and Salukis.
ReplyDeleteI watched live streams of the breed judging today on my norebook, my iPad, my daughter's iPad mini, and my iPhone. I've never had the chance to watch so many breeds at Westminster.
ReplyDeleteAny favorites in the Hound Group? The Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Bahama Sands made an surprise appearance and took the breed.
ReplyDeleteWhile my Group pick was defeated in the breed, this Afghan is a BIS winner.
ReplyDeleteAnyone know where I can watch this live online? I really want to watch the groups but I don't have cable :(
ReplyDeleteSadly, I think CNBC and USA contracts don't allow live streams during the evening broadcasts. We will try to give you as much of a play by paly as we can. ;-)
DeleteThanks! :) found out at the last minute they weren't streaming groups online so I had no time to prepare >.< tomorrow I'll be sure to see the groups and BIS though!
DeleteThe Basenji is a BIS winner and is always owner handled
ReplyDeleteThe 13 Beagle is from Thailand and is a BIS winner
ReplyDeleteMy B&T Coonhound pick didn't make the trip from Washington State.

ReplyDeleteHow many of you have actually seen a Podengo in competition?
ReplyDeleteI saw one in Dallas in December.
DeleteThat's one nice Redbone. Don't be surprised if judge Johnson takes a fancy to him
ReplyDeleteMichelle Scott has won BIS at Westmisnter twice.
ReplyDeleteThis Saluki won the breed over some serious competition
ReplyDeleteAnyone notice that the 2013 Number Two Hound, the Harrier was absent today?
ReplyDeleteThis Whippet is my pick for Group One
ReplyDeletePicks? In addition to the Whippet, I like the Bloodhound, the Afghan, & the Redbone

ReplyDeleteNest uo, the Toy Group
ReplyDeleteAll of my picks made it through to the Group, the MinPin, Classie, the Peke Rodger, the Toy Poodle, Beauty, and the Pug, Rufus.
ReplyDeleteThe MinPin, Classie, is the winningest MinPin in history
ReplyDeleteShe is also close to breaking the record for a Toy Dog. That record is held by a Peke shown by David Fitzpatrick who is showing the Peke, Rodger, tonight
ReplyDeleteJudge Keke Kahn is from Florida as is the MinPin and Pug

ReplyDeleteBreeder judge Jean Hetherington chose tis Bulldog our of a big entry
ReplyDeleteThis is a BIS winning Shar-Pei
ReplyDeleteWhy isn't the Lowchen more popular? You don't have to do the stupid haircut,
