EIGHT DAYS AND COUNTING

GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator

As we hurdle toward the end of the year, it seems that the status quo will remain so.  The Number One Dog All Breeds, the Wire Fox Terrier, GCH CH AfterAll Painting the Sky, was in Costa Mesa CA yesterday for the day two show of the Shoreline Dog Fanciers Association Of Orange County.   Sky made it to judge Kathy Beliew’s final along with the Field Spaniel, GCH CH Promenade's Pay It Forward, the Harrier, GCH CH Downhome Hitech Innovator, the Boxer CH Hijinx This Is How I Roll, the Brussels Griffon, GCH CH Paragons Sharp Dressed Man At Greengate, the French Bulldog GCH CH LeBull's El Morocco At LeCirque, and the Bouviers des Flanders GCH CH Take Aim's Playing For Gryffindor.

Judge Beliew’s top two were the Harrier, Chet, and the Frenchie, Trouble.  Chet is the Number Two Hound this year with 15 BIS and 69 Non-Sporting Groups.

Meanwhile, the Number Two Dog, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, continues to collect BIS in his march across America.  Yesterday’s BIS came at the Valley Forge Kennel Club show in Oaks PA.  Challenging Matisse for the win were the English Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Foxwood’s Dublin Diva, the Rhodesian Ridgeback, GCH CH Raquel Welch of Malabo APD, judge Robert Black’s RBIS, the Colored Bull Terrier, GCH CH Banbury Bedrock Bright Star Bright, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Orchard Hill Whatever the Weather, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Unique Diamond in the Ruff, and the Briard, GCH CH Deja Vu Mia Cool as a Cucumber.

Matisse  leads all dogs with 90 BIS, six more than the Wire Fox, Sky.  However, Sky still holds a 19,000 point advantage in dogs defeated.
