We last checked in with the Mid-Atlantic on Friday when we
told you that the Shetland Sheepdog, GCH CH Acadia’s Stage Presence was judge Tom
Ward’s BIS at the Laurel Highlands Kennel Association show.

Grabbing the BIS was the Shar-Pei, Tinsel, and collecting
the RBIS was the Pointer, Miss Darcy.
Tinsel is AKC’s Number One Chinese Shar-Pei and Number Six Non-Sporting
Dog with six BIS and 36 Non-Sporting Groups.
GCH CH Alexanders Gold Rush Xcetera
Tinsel, the Pointer, Miss D’Arcy, and the Pug, Reme, would
be the only of Saturday’s finalists to see judge Charles Olvis at the PVKC’s
closer on Sunday. Joining them in the
final ring were the Treeing Walker Coonhound, GCH CH Alexanders Gold Rush
Xcetera, the Alaskan Malamute, GCH CH Samaljankan’s I’m The One At Nyrakym, the
Border Terrier, CH Orangebox Firecracker, and the Bearded Collie, GCH CH

CH Warpug
Black and Blue Reme
Judge Olvis’ Top Two were the Coonhound, Xcetera, and the
Pug, Reme. It’s the first BIS in 17
final appearances this year for Xcetera and owner/handler Amanda
Alexander. It is also the first by a
Treeing Walker Coonhound since the breed’s admission to AKC conformation in
2012. A big congratulations to Amanda
and breeder Eugene Hull.
