Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, was Charles Trotter’s
BIS at Friday’s Matoon Kennel Club show in Springfield IL. We didn’t tell you that ten more of the nation’s
Top 100 Dogs All Breeds were also in competition.

Judge Trotter also considered the Golden Retriever, CH Shyan’s
Let Freedom Ring, the Longhaired Dachshund, GCH CH Hundeleben Queen’s Armada SL,
the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH True Blue Madonna, his RBIS, the Shih Tzu, GCH
CH Hallmark Jolei Bells Will Be Ringing, the Bulldog, GCH CH Mytoys Epic
Against the Wind, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH McMatt’s Autumn Breeze.

While Matisse would quit Springfield and head to Atlanta,
there was still plenty of talent left for Friday’s Sandemac Kennel Club’s
final. The seven judge Marilyn Spacht
saw were the Vizsla, GCH CH Regal Point Pinnacle Of Kilauea JH, the above named
Dachshund, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Pouch Cove’s Seabrook Enough Said, the
Miniature Schnauzer, GCH CH Allaruth Just Kidding v Sole Baye, the Toy Poodle,
GCH CH Balliwick Honey Boo Boo, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH Jade East Do you
Know the Way to San Jose, and the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Aubrey’s Tails
of Mystery.
GCH CH Pouch Cove’s Seabrook Enough Said
Her BIS was the Dachshund, Cheese, and her RBIS was the
Newfoundland, Jordan. It was Cheese’s
second BIS in 27 trips to the final ring this year.
The Illinois Capitol Kennel Club and judge Jon Cole would
close the set on Sunday. The seven who
stayed to the end were the Brittany, GCH CH Star Flight Jumpin Jack Flash OAJ
OA RN, the Basset Hound, CH Foxglen Truth Or Consequences, the Great Dane, GCH CH
Longo Miller N Lore Diamond Lil, the Miniature Bull Terrier, CH Amchara Roc Ur
World, the previously seen Shih Tzu, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts
on Fire, and the same Cardigan.

Taking home the last big rosette of the stop was the
MiniBull, Ringo. Collecting the Reserve
was the Great Dane, Scout. It was the
first BIS of the year for Ringo . Congratulations
to breeders Betty McCrieght, Julie Grider & Terry Russo, owner Karen
Toland, and handler Carlos Puig.
