GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare
As the temperatures start to dive around the US, folks start
heading for warmer areas. Here in the
Midsouth and Heartland, the Gulf Coast is a popular destination and today’s Mississippi
Gulf Coast Kennel Club show in Gulfport MS was an early season opportunity to
enjoy the area.
Saturday’s final saw Dr Dale Simmons in the final ring with the
Wirehaired Pointing Griffon, the Whippet, GCH CH Karasar’s Remembrence, the
Rottweiler, GCH CH Eko Ridges Big Easy Fast And Furious, the Smooth Fox
Terrier, GCH CH Broxden Waybroke Simphuni's Burlesque, the Miniature Pinscher,
GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Jaset’s Satisfaction,
and the Rough Collie, CH Rockledge Lochlyn Relentless.
Scampering away with the BIS was the MinPin, Classie, while
the Standard Poodle, London, picked up the RBIS. Classie is the Number Two Toy Dog and the
Number Five Dog All Breeds, with 30 BIS.
A good week in her native Florida next week could catapult the MinPin
into the Number One Toy spot.

On Sunday Bill Cunnigham would reverse the awards making
London the BIS and Classie the RBIS.
Rounding out the seven hopefuls were the Clumber Spaniel, GCH CH Cajuns
A Change Is Gonna Come, and the afore mentioned Whippet, Rottweiler, Smooth Fox
Terrier, and Rough Collie. London and handlerAnn Rairigh have 38 BIS
this year, good enough for a Number Eight All Breed ranking.
You have your black Standard Poodles confused. London is handled by Ann Rairigh, while Flame is presented by Sarah Perchick (née Riedl).
