GCH CH Windemere’s Dusting Off White at Pevyne
We spent 20 years of our life in northern California’s
Diablo Valley. My daughter was born
there and my son and granddaughters still live there. One of our annual traditions was the third
weekend of October and the big Del Valle Dog Club of Livermore, traditionally
one of AKC’S top 25 shows. While the Del
Valle show is not as large as it used to be, the weekend has now become a five
day canine cornucopia which includes four very large shows hosted by the Del
Valle club and the Skyline Dog Fanciers Of San Mateo County. The total entry this year is over 7500 dogs
and that does not include the plethora of specialties on Saturday that separate
the two club’s all breed shows.

Today’s SDFSMC opener had Betty Regina Leininger in the
final ring with seven dogs that had battled some of the toughest competition
seen this year to be there. They were the
German Wirehaired Pointer, GCH CH Mt View’s Ripsnorter Silver Charm, the Afghan
Hound, GCH CH Thaon’s Mowgli, the Great Pyrenees, GCH CH FramboiseSomethingVenturedSomethingGained,
the Kerry Blue Terrier, CH NZ CH Kamagh Too Busy Bein Fabulous, the Pekingese,
GCH CH Windemere’s Dusting Off White at Pevyne, the Keeshond, GCH CH Summerwind’s
Rumor Has It, and the Pembroke Welsh Corgi, GCH CH Coventry Allure at Wyndstar.
Finishing one/two were the Peke, Dusty, and the Kerry,
Harper. The nearly 1500 point win could
very well be the biggest win of the year for Dusty and breeder/owner/handler
Cody Koch. The win will make Dusty the Number Three Toy Dog with ten BIS and 43 Toy
Groups.
