SAN ANTONIO ENCORE

CH Tamarin Tug

The Affenpinscher, CH Tamarin Tug, did an encore in San Antonio today taking his second BIS in as many days in San Antonio TX.  His fellow finalists in G Timothy Doxtater’s ring at the Comal County Kennel Club show were the English Springer Spaniel, CH Wil-Orion Twenty Twenty, the Afghan Hound, CH Genesis Silverado, CH Cammcastle's Friar Tuck, the Skye Terrier, CH Cragsmoor Buddy Goodman, the Tibetan Terrier, CH Sunclipse Mystique, and the Briard, CH Celebratia VintageEightyFour.  Does anybody know the all breed BIS record for Affenpinschers?

  1. I'm more interested to find out why they retired Taser and then brought him back out!

  2. This dog broke the record last year.

  3. They could be going for his Grand Championship...

  4. My guess would be they have brought him back out to get a Grand Champion on him. Was that not one of the purported reasons behind the new title? To get retired specimens back in the show ring?

  5. He does hold the Record with 72 BIS ( to be confirmed)

  8. Seriously people. Stop the trash talk and hiding behind annonymous. There is enough of it at the shows. By the time you get home to read this blog, you'd better have a life. I guess all the negative people who try to bad mouth people and dogs really don't have a life. If dog shows are as bad as you want to write then get out!

  10. Who cares if Taser is 2 or 10 years old.If they want to bring him back out to get his Grand Championship all the more power to his owners and handler.Keep up the good work Taser.

  11. Showing a ringer is not quite within AKC rules. Ask the dog show photographers how may Taser's there have been.

  12. What is a ringer? Never heard that before????

  13. Anonymous at 1:07 pm on june 20-Where in teh AKC rules does it say that you can't bring a dog out of retirement to show them.It doesn't at all.How do you know this is not the original Taser?Have you done DNA testing on this one at the one who you say is the original?I say you haven't.So unless you know whats going on with this dog keep your comments to your self.

  14. Perhaps I'm a "Polyanna", but I took the posts as just fooling. Hope I'm correct about this view. Lighten up guys. Congratulation to the "buzzer".

  15. Mr. Wheeler, is there no way to get rid of annonymous posts and make everyone accountable for what they write?

  16. Hey polyanna when the annonymous person writes about you or your dog let's see how innocent you think it is!

  17. I find This whole Affenpinscher conversation amusing. In one camp a top dog has been brought out of retirement and another was awarded a Best in show by it's breeder. In the other camp, a dog has been imported by a judge and is promoted by this judge and his "team". Is anything in either camps ethical? I think not...

  19. To those who are against Taser comming out retirement-If you owned this dog and he still looked darn good at his age you would also bring him out of retirement to try to get his Grand Championshipship. It is good publicity for ones kennel to see a older dog can still compete with the the younger ones. The ones that are so against it are just jealous because they don't have a dog in their kennel that still look good enough to bring back out at the age of 8 or 9.Everyone(ownder/handlers)would bring a dog back out of retirement at the age of 8,9 or 10 to see if it can get its Grand Championship if it was still looking good and you know it.

  20. *giggle* Welcome to the wonderful world of dog shows. It's been like this for years and will be like this for years to come. It will never change.

  21. The dog is only 6...and in toys that isn't very old. I think the real question on everyone's mind is will the dog be "re-retired" after it achieves the GCh.

  22. Since when is SIX years old to old to enter a DOG on any level...
