Well, ladies & gents, it was a long and arduous journey, but we are here in suburban Philadelphia waiting on a real east coast pizza and tomorrow’s Montgomery County Kennel Club show. We won’t bore you with our experience with airport security. Just suffice it to say they have more places to look on a fat guy.
We are a bit behind on our reports, so let’s get to them. First, from today’s Devon Dog Show Association event, we have the continuing dominance of the Terriers as the Scottish Terrier, CH Roundtown Mercedes Of Maryscot, took home another BIS. As it has been at this weeks previous shows, Virginia Lyne’s final was chock-a-block with talent, the ASCOB Cocker Spaniel, CH Somerset’’s Sweet Talking Girl, the Irish Wolfhound, CH Dun Myrica Speake Of Eagle, the Doberman Pinscher, CH Allure Blazing Star Alisaton, the Toy Poodle, CH Smash Jp Moon Walk, the Schipperke, CH Dante’s Fire When Ready, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.
We know you Terrier fans will hound us until we give you John Sim’s Terrier Group placements. They were Sadie in First, the Airedale, CH Stirling Cool Hand Luke in Second, the Kerry Blue, CH Echo of Aran Cross the Rubicon (Don’t you love how we are getting all these new faces in the Kerry Blues?) and the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe’s Merci Pour Le Poivre.

Will be right back with more.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! Those Terrier results are GREATLY appreciated by those of us who could not be there this year.
ReplyDeleteA question......at the #2 Hatbobo, the Scottie bitch is not mentioned as placing. Was she there? Did she win the breed? VERY curious.
Again my deepest thanks.
No - Sadie did not show at the Hatboro #2 show (I don't believe she was entered). I am impressed that Sadie was given a day to "sleep in" !
ReplyDeleteHighlight of the terrier group today was when the Airedale and the Kerry Blue decided they wanted to kill eachother! A real example of "true terrier spirit." I also loved watching a Lakeland class bitch take BOB over some big-name guys..People at ringside were dumbfounded. Lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteCoolest thing at Devon today was when the Kerry and the Airedale tried to kill each other in the group ring.. Lucky that the handlers and the leashes held tight!
ReplyDeleteIt's SO nice seeing a Real Kerry!!! This is for sure a dog to Watch....Keep up the Good Work!!!!
