It’s been a good year for Labrador Retrievers. We have seen several Labs take all breed BIS this year. Two of those BIS winners were in today’s Newton Kennel Club show in Augusta NJ. However, neither would make it out of the breed. However, the breed winner did make it into Mrs. Robert Smith’s BIS final.
In addition to CH Beechcroft Study's Top Secret, she also saw the Irish Wolfhound, CH Ch. Dun Myrica Speaker Of Eagle, the Great Pyrenees, the CH Rivergroves Trump This, the Sealyham Terrier, CH Efbe's Merci Pour Le Poivre, the Pekingese, CH Linn-Lee's For The Good Times, the Bulldog, CH Kepley's Showbiz Razzle Dazzle, and the Bearded Collie, CH Tolkien Raintree Mister Baggins.
It was a final with six multiple BIS winners, and four dogs in the top twenty five all breeds. However, it was a day for the Lab, James, as he picked up his first all breed BIS this year. Congratulations to breeder/owner Mary Wiest, co-breeder Valerie Wahlen, co-owners Magdy Caban & Cecilia Martinez, and handler Fabian Negron.
