Once again, our dog show week starts early with two locations out of the gate on Wednesday. It’s beautiful in upstate New York this time of year and you can combine the scenery with five dog shows in Ballston Spa courtesy of the Southern Adirondack Dog Club and the Saratoga New, Glens Falls, Mohawk Valley, & Bennington County Kennel Clubs. There are also five shows available to fanciers in Greensboro NC hosted by the Danville, Greater Hickory, & Carolina Kennel Clubs.
However, there will probably be just as many, if not more, points in the three days starting Friday in Harrisburg PA where the Penn Ridge & Harrisburg Kennel Clubs will team up. You can do four days in Wisconsin though you will have to break camp after spending Friday & Saturday in South Milwaukee with the Cudahy Kennel Club and drive 15 miles to Racine to pass two days with the Greater Racine Kennel Club. (Here’s a hint, show managers, exhibitors don’t like to move. It’s a pain in the butt.)
Harrisburg PA
Meanwhile 350 miles to the west, the Kennel Club Of Freeborn County, Minnesota, will host a traditional Saturday/Sunday weekend in Albert Lea MN. Likewise there are two day stops in Little Rock AR (Arkansas Kennel Club), Corpus Christi TX (Corpus Christi Kennel Club), & Torrance CA (South Bay Kennel Club). The Lorain County Kennel Club will have a one day stop Sunday in Henrietta Township, 40 miles west of Cleveland.

Finally, the folks in Alaska will celebrate summer with three shows in Palmer presented by the Cooks Inlet Kennel Club.
Iknow this goes all the way back to Friday in Salem, VA but can you spies find out what in the world happened in Rottie Open bitches??? Judge had 5 Open bitches, started the ribbons at 2nd, gave "Judg" to all placements and just walked the 5th bitch.
ReplyDeleteInquiring minds wanna KNOW! VBG!
Well, in Greenville, SC two weeks ago the dog that won the sporting group on Saturday apparently was measured on Sunday. From the online results I assume it measured out!
ReplyDeleteStrange things are happening!
On Saturday in Salem a class Golden beat out 6 specials for BOB. I heard on Sunday that the dog made it down to the final 6 in the sporting group!
ReplyDeleteSounds like we might have some good stories behind this circuit of top winners!
