We have observed these past seven year that things start to heat up at the end of the show year. The top dogs all seem to kick it up a notch much like the long distance runner at the end of the course. The country’s Number One Terrier, the Skye Terrier, GCH CH Cragsmoor Goodtime Charlie, is a perfect example. This weekend he has logged three straight BIS, the latest coming at yesterday’s Greater Ocala Dog Club show.

Also making judge Walter Pinsker were Charlie’s kennelmates, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Regime’s Thriller of Elm, and the French Bulldog, GCH CH Bandog's Major League Homerun at TX Star, who took the RBIS. Rounding out the seven were the Black Cocker Spaniel, GCH CH Ashdown’s Time to Thrill, the Samoyed, White Magic’s Seasoned Traveler, the Prince Charles English Toy Spaniel, GCH CH Maibee Orlando, and the German Shepherd Dog, GCH CH Wonderland’s Force Of Nature.
The Number Five Dog All Breeds now has 30 BIS and 109 Terrier Groups this year. Seven of those BIS have come within the last 30 days. Now that’s momentum.
