DAY ONE IN DECATUR AL

GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire

 Last week were had but one venue offering more than two shows. This week we have six. Decatur AL is the site of the four day Cotton Cluster. The hometown Decatur Alabama Kennel Club hosted Thursday's opener and asked judge Dawn Hansen to take the final ring.

The seven dogs she considered were the Golden Retriever, CH Heartland Mardi Gras Gumbo, the Smooth Dachshund, GCH CH Leoralee’s Barstool Boogie MS, the Samoyed, GCH CH Tobil's Storm Warning At Sunrise, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Japanese Chin, GCH CH Dojo's Suikoden Tenmei, the Standard Poodle, GCH CH Dawin Hearts on Fire, and the Shetland Sheepdog, CH Solange Body Language. Finishing one/two were the nation’s Number Three Dog All Breeds, the Standard Poodle, Flame, and the Number Eight Dog, the Welsh Terrier, Jennie. 

 It was the 42nd BIS and 109th Non-Sporting Group this year for Flame and handler Sarah Perchick.
