In our preview of this week’s Terrier Super Bowl we told you to look for the recent Belgian import, the Wire Fox Terrier, King Arthur van Foliny Home. King made his American debut last weekend in Monroe MI where he strung together three consecutive Terrier Group Ones. Today he captured his first AKC Best In Show at the Hatboro Dog Club’s day one show in Wrightstown PA in impressive style against Top Ten competition.

Challenging King for judge Mareth Kipp’s favor were the Irish Setter, GCH CH Militza's My Cherie Amour, the 15” Beagle, GCH CH Tashtin’s Lookin for Trouble, the RBIS, the Portuguese Water Dog, GCH CH Claircreek’s Impression de Matisse, the Pug, GCH CH Hill Country’s Tag I’m It, the Boston Terrier, GCH CH Ken's Always Gets The Last Laugh, and the Briard, GCH CH Ne Orageux's Flash Point.
As we told you earlier King brings an impressive resume to the US with Group wins this year at Crufts and the FCI Word Show. If King looks familiar to our readers it may be because his sire, GCH CH Crispy Legacy was campaigned here last year. Obviously we think King is a Dog2Watch. We look forward to meeting King and his team in Orlando in December. Congratulations to breeders/owners Rony De Munter & Dieny Uiterwijk, owner Victor Malzoni Jr, and handler Warren Bradley.
Update: Unfortunately, we have been advised that King will return to England on Tuesday. How we envy those of you who got to see him while he was here.
