The Singing River Kennel Club of Mississippi and the Mobile Kennel Club teamed for four shows in beautiful Biloxi MS this past week.  Up first was the SRKCM and they chose judge Jim Briley to take the day one final.  His seven supplicants were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Ehrenvogel Achy Breaky Heart, the Saluki, GCH CH Starlite's Made Of The Best Stuff On Earth BN RN, the Doberman Pinscher, GCH CH Dezperado's Hallelujah, the Welsh Terrier, GCH CH Shaireab’s Bayleigh Maid of Honor, the Shih Tzu, GCH CH Hallmark Jolie Rocket Power, the Chinese Shar-Pei, GCH CH R-Lee’s Sparkle Plenty, and the Belgian Tervuren, GCH CH Sindarin's Where The Magic Begins.

He chose the Doberman, Glory, as his BIS and the Welsh Terrier, Jennie, as his RBIS.  It was the second of the year for Glory and handler Linda George.

At Friday’s SRKCM redux judge Denny Mounce would see the same seven save one, the Whippet, GCH CH Sporting Fields Shameless.   His top two were the GSP, Cyrus, and the Whippet, Brazen.  That was Cyrus’ second BIS of the season as well.

The rest of the weekend belonged to the nation’s Number Six Dog All Breeds, the Welsh Terrier, Jennie.  At Saturday’s MKC day one show judge Jon Cole would name Jennie his BIS and Cyrus, the GSP, his RBIS, while the Smooth Dachshund, GCH CH Bessdachs Master Maserati, the Doberman, Glory, the Chinese Crested, GCH CH Zen's Cirque Du Soleil, the aforementioned Shar-Pei, and the Australian Shepherd, GCH CH Broadways Cruisin Like Royalty of Canyon Lake RN.

Jennie would close the set Sunday with a BIS under judge James Frederiksen.  Joining her in the MKC final were the Golden Retriever, GCH CH Maximus Latin Coolstars 2nd Edition, the returning Dachshund, the RBIS, the Doberman, Glory, and the previously seen Shih Tzu, Shar-Pei, & Australian Shepherd.

The two wins bring Jennie’s 2014 BIS tally to 17.  We will have to wait for the numbers to come in to tell you if the wins were big enough for Jennie to become the Number One Terrier.
