Many exhibitors and fanciers are not yet aware that AKC has authorized clubs to hold two shows on one day. The firsts clubs to do this were the Brookhaven Kennel Club and Riverhead Kennel Club who staged two shows Saturday in Yaphank NY, about 90 minutes from Manhattan on Long Island.
GCH CH Class Act By Hallsblu
The Xoloitzcuintli, GCH CH Bayshore Giorgio Armani, made the most of the occasion, taking home both of the big rosettes. Joining Armani in Judge Hal Biermann’s BKC final in the AM were the Labrador Retriever, GCH CH Beechcroft Midnight Roses Baccara, the Saluki, GCH CH Quanmarra Thonolan, the Rottweiler, GCH CH Robbans Invincible CD, the Reserve winner, the Kerry Blue Terrier, GCH CH Class Act By Hallsblu, the Papillon, CH Cogar Riegel Old Time R N R, the Bearded Collie, GCH CH Classical’s My Turn CGC.
GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir
Armani and the Kerry Blue, Jack, would both return for judge Toby Frisch’s afternoon final. Also seeking judge Frish’s favor were the German Shorthaired Pointer, GCH CH Robin Crest Edelmarke Investigator, the Afghan Hound, GCH CH Exlysta Aries Ciel Noir, the Leonberger, GCH CH A Feiner Eros, the Brussels Griffon, St John’s Sireta, and the Rough Collie, GCH CH Milas Latin Fever. Getting the Reserve ribbon was the Afghan, Ryder.
Armani is the nation’s Number One Xoloitzquintli and the Number Eight Non-Sporting Dog with five BIS and 19 Non-Sporting Groups this year.
