New Englanders opened their show weekend with a stop in West Springfield MA for the Springfield Kennel Club’s day one shoe. Judge Pat Mowbray-Morgan considered the English Springer Spaniel, CH Legacy Random Titleist, the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen, GCH CH Lacey's Deck Plate Leader, the Newfoundland, GCH CH Cypress Bay's Big Sur, the Colored Bull Terrier, Winsor-Bur Oak Empress Zoey Of Norden, the Pekingese, CH Pequest General Tso, the American Eskimo Dog, CH Sierra's Summer Celebration, and the Old English Sheepdog, GCH CH Bagatelle Rolling Moon Stone.

Carrying away the big rosette was the Peke, followed by the Springer. Pekingese maven David Fitzpatrick’s latest is not yet 14 months old and has only been out in the rings a few weeks, but already has one RBIS, five Toy Groups, and now a BIS. Congratulations to breeder/owner/handler David Fitzpatrick.
